You will learn how organisations and entrepreneurs address issues via real life case insights and quotes, while fictional case studies are presented to explore how you might choose ways forward in your entrepreneurial journey. Forming new companies can be a key enabler of developing new technologies and priming them for the market place, and a key tool for the knowledge transfer professional.

The course is intended to provide students with a solid grounding in key fundamentals of management thinking on this topic, but also with the opportunity to apply these in practice. The learning outcomes will be met through a combination of lectures, seminars and groupwork (including group discussion of cases) together with individual exercises and guided reading.Emeritus is collaborating with Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education to help you build future-ready skills. Delegates might have significant experience in TT/KT or KE, but little practical experience of new venture formation and may be looking to take the first steps in assessing and supporting new venture opportunities.

If you have at least 3 years of experience working in a corporate or startup environment, or a technical background (although not required), and you have serious ambition to start your own business, then this programme is for you.
