There was absolutely no need, obviously Stevie Nicks and Sean Ono Lennon's songs were guaranteed to be awesome but the surprise pick of the collabs for me is Summer Bummer, it's mega.Compared to her previous albums, especially its somnolent 2015 predecessor, Honeymoon, Lust for Life is positively ebullient in tone, if not in tempo. This is a limited-edition re-press on Coke Bottle Clear vinyl, previously only available at Urban Outfitters, but will now be available as a D2C Exclusive Worldwide. With Sean Lennon featuring on this album I don't think it's inappropriate to say she needs to follow the Beatles in their determination to keep growing and evolving and to play things 'unsafe'. The songs are very emotional and you can hear the emotions of Del Rey as she sings back isolation, love, fame and politics - it is an album with is written in the old school style whilst also taking inspiration from the current affairs that we all and particularly Americans face today. Her ethereal voice and passionate lyrics create a deeply emotional experience that resonates with me on a profound level.
