About this deal

Posts are for general information, are not intended to substitute for informed professional advice (medical, legal, veterinary, financial, etc. Perfect for golfing enthusiasts or amateurs who struggle to finish their 18 holes within daylight hours! It has however worried me, I appreciate I need to get a diagnostics to check done but in the meantime turned to you fine people to see if any answers could be found. The car drives fine but when i turn off the engine and close the doors after a few mins the hazards continue to flash and will only go out when i start the engine.

Since leaving the garage and Close to home it started doing the dodgy can't pull away in first thing. Most garages now say EGR valve failures are a known issue (mostly showing up in Mk6 TDIs 3 to 4 years / 40k-60k mileage range). I put up with mine for nearly a year and it would go as long as 2 Months without flashing but the clunking etc was usually present. I have a 2009 Jetta TDI and the check engine light cane on and then a few days later the glow plug light started flashing. I would (and have) recommend your site to others I was quite satisfied with the quality of the information received, the professional with whom I interacted, and the quick response time.I've just driven 4:45mins from Yorkshire to London and the car ran fine with no trouble at all, bar the flashing light, which kept flashing.

This is my second winter on the tune and have had no issues other than this GPL flashing which I noticed today. The bit around the gear stick with the leather on and the plastic bit with the gears on that lights up. It's showing up in 2009 - 2012 cars between 40k - 60k miles, so don't ignore it, or get a mate to clear it with their cheap e-bay scanner, as you are asking for trouble if you do. In trying to create a great purchasing experience, Ping would like us to discuss your requirements with you prior to you making your purchase.Better to be safe than sorry but engine warning lights go off after 3 engine cycles if it doesn't detect any issue. My first thought at that point would be "tune issue" ie software malfunction or hardware fault (your ECU was opened, yes?

I had the exact same problem on my old Mk5 DSG, the gear selector unit can only be removed from underneath - so you have to remove the exhaust to get at the bolts - also you have to remove the gear knob itself and surrounding trim. The site and services are provided "as is" with no warranty or representations by JustAnswer regarding the qualifications of Experts.

I won't go into details but the brake light switch sends info to the ECU to prevent the engine accelerating when the car is being braked.

I came off at the next junction (which fortunately was the one I needed anyway) and found that there was no power/turbo at all during my final five minutes to work. Bingo, but I can't comment as to what gear it was in when I pulled off the highway once I realized that I couldn't shift up. Your controller will have done enough heat cycles by now for this to be a likely occurance - see if you can borrow another as fitting a replacement is dead easy. The ball took a while to get it working - you have to hit it hard to get it to glow red, but when it does it is fab. With modern fuel, technology and a reasonably looked after vehicle, they are not supposed to need maintenance.I couldn't get the paperclip reset to work then either until I went out of range of my home wifi network. FYI, I have experienced a similar situation in the past, except then the middle light was flashing yellow. It barely had a mm of carbon deposit, hardly anything for a car nearly 4 years old (I read somewhere 2-3 mm is acceptable).
