WITH-- D B Wyndham Lewis, James Agate, A J A Symons, Ernest Newman, Robert Lynd, Dilys Powell, Harold Hobson, Gerard Hopkins, Ronald Knox, Olga Venn, John Gore, W W Hadley, Campbell Dixon.

It has 5 chapters: one covering the all too brief life including interesting material on his artistic education; a section on books and prints; then watercolours, design and finishing with Ravilious as a war artist.Partly as a result of this, he has tended to remain isolated from the broader art historical narratives of the period. Although a brilliant watercolourist, and designer, Eric Ravilious (1903-1942) was above all a wood engraver. He doesn't make grandiose claims for his subject, wisely, he lets Ravilious's work speak for itself. Barewall Art Gallery based in Burslem, Stoke on Trent established in 2010, offers British 20th century modern and contemporary; art, ceramics and sculpture by artists from and connected to Staffordshire, Cheshire and the North. This book is sure to be the most comprehensive and well-informed survey of Ravilious's entire oeuvre.

Due to the scarcity of the book and the increased interest in Ravilious' work, the High Street book is generally sold in its entire published form. Directly after school she noticed an advertisement in The Studio inviting applications for a training programme specialising in linocuts at The Grosvenor School of Art, London. We showcase the very best in British printmaking with limited edition prints from artists including Angie Lewin, Mark Hearld, Jonny Hannah, Christopher Brown and many more. The fifth chapter looks at his work as a war artist when he was attached to the navy and the army, moving around Britain and then beyond, culminating in his fatal last flight in Iceland in 1943.
