The 3000 is available in a few different variants, meaning different handle colours and brush heads included. You’ll still be left with gleaming teeth but it won’t cause the irritation you might experience with other brush heads if you've got sensitive teeth and gums.
The Oral-B Smart 4 4000 Crossaction Electric toothbrush sits between the Oral-B Pro 3 3000 and Oral-B Smart 5 5000 in the Oral-B set up. Finally, many people commented on the quality of the battery life; mentioning that it lasted 2 weeks on one charge if being used by a single person, or 1 week if being used by a couple. I like the fact that this brush has four modes (regular, deep cleaning, sensitive and whitening), and it is thicker than the previous model so feels better in my hand. The handle itself is a fairly slim profile and comes in either a white or pink gloss finish which looks sleek.But, we have learnt that most people would rather save a bit of money, than have lots of features they may not use, making the Pro 3 3500 a perfect fit. The Oral-B SmartSeries 4000 CrossAction is an electric toothbrush with Bluetooth compatibility that enables it to connect with the Oral-B app. If your oral health is already really good from just using a manual brush, then an electric toothbrush probably won't take things to the next level and I wouldn't recommend this brush. What I find somewhat odd is that Oral-B have not included a Gum Care or Sensitive brush head with the 4000.
You can also disable the pacer so that you don’t get notifications to change sections of the mouth at every 3o seconds via the app either. However, some brush heads are better suited to certain modes and it would have made more sense in our opinion to have included the Sensitive head given that one of the selling points of the 3000 is that cleaning mode.This enhanced tracking uses the front facing camera on your smartphone and sensors in the brush handle to accurately detect the position of the brush within the mouth. The Genius X has built-in sensors and Artificial Intelligence which track the movement of the brush handle when in use. Another slight difference is the 9000’s lovely travel case has a clip built into the lid that holds a smartphone, for using the app when travelling. I then hurry to put the toothpaste on the brush so I can insert it in my mouth and turn on before the 30 seconds expires. Safely under the powerhouse brand that is Braun, Oral-B is a highly reputable brand within the Gillette company and has been improving the oral healthcare of people around the world for decades.
The only exceptions are people with sensitive teeth or who like to press too firmly, then you should look at the Oral-B Smart 4 4000W. I also like that it uses the same brush heads as my previous model since I already had a supply of them. This is a cycle that lasts for 20 seconds with 7300 oscillations and 30,000 pulsations and designed for as the name suggests, cleaning the tongue. When Oral-B say 2 weeks of use, this means that the battery will last for 56 minutes which is 2 minutes, twice a day for 2 weeks.Both brushes will track your cleaning performance and log it in the app whilst providing real time feedback, but the Genius 9000 can go one stage further.
Spending more or picking a premium model does not necessarily result in a better clean of the teeth. In the box with the 9000 comes a smartphone holder, with a suction cup, much like you might have in a car. If the bridge/crown/implant were effected by the electric toothbrush, it was likely already previously damaged and would have failed anyways. I don’t have the figures of the number of oscillations and pulsations on the older Pro 5000 available to give confirmation of the power difference.Both have pressure sensors built-in, but the 9000 has an LED smart ring that goes all around the neck of the brush. For those who just want to brush their teeth every day and be done with it, this Pro 4000 might be overkill and you might be better off with the Pro 2000. Official Oral-B brush heads are recommended and they all have something known as indicator bristles. However, the toothbrush simply carries on going past the 2 minutes, and the majority of reviewers did mention that they found the timer useful. Oral-B’s iO Series 6 has real-time tracking which provides more useful feedback on your brushing habits, allowing meaningful improvements to be made quicker.
