If you have been prescribed Hydromol Ointment by a doctor or nurse follow his/her instructions on use. Formulated with key ingredients for skin health, Hydromol Ointment is a soft ointment which moisturises the skin. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you use Hydromol Ointment if your skin is badly cracked, infected or bleeding.

If your condition worsens or you experience any undesirable effects, stop using Hydromol Cream and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate, cetomacrogol emulsifying wax, myristyl myristate, sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate, ceteareth-20, phenoxyethanol, parabens (methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, iso-butylparaben and n-butylparaben), sodium lactate solution and purified water. If you apply the moisturiser immediately before or after applying a medicated skin product, the moisturiser could dilute the medicine and potentially make it less effective.Quantities required will vary with the size of the patient, the severity and extent of skin dryness. Adults, elderly and children: apply liberally and frequently to the affected area and smooth into the skin in the direction of hair growth.

This product should be used in combination with other topical leave on emollients, as required or advised by a Healthcare professional.If you're using Hydromol ointment in the bath or shower take care to avoid slipping, especially when getting in or out, because the ointment is likely to make the bath/shower more slippery than usual. I have been using Hydromol Ointment for a few months, both as a moisturiser and as a soap substitute in the shower. It is also important to read the label and follow the instructions for use provided with the product. Hydromol Ointment can be used to provide moisture for any skin condition where dry skin is a factor.

When you apply the ointment to the skin, or use it instead of soap, these oils stay on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface. Also contains: purified water, emulsifying wax (containing cetostearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate), chlorocresol 0.It has no fragrances, colourings or preservatives making it ideal for treating a wide range of skin conditions and is especially suitable for babies and children. For use as a bath additive: Melt Epaderm Ointment in a suitable container of hot water and and shake to mix. If you experience any side effects when using an emollient, it is important to speak with a healthcare provider for advice on how to manage them.
