About this deal

Neither of these makes any mention of caffeine, other than the restrictions on labeling a product as decaffeinated, at the time of writing.

I asked, and they replied (quickly, I have to say) to say that they class one cup as one heaped teaspoon. So I’ve recently been told to cut caffeine out of my diet by my doctor as caffeine can affect the prostate gland. While caffeine isn’t a terrible stimulant it still has adverse effects on the body and for some people knowing and regulating their caffeine intake is more important than others, and either way everyone has a right to know what is going into their body. With over 260 years of expertise in blending and roasting, Douwe Egberts continues to bring you great tasting coffee.

But what about clear labeling with regards to caffeine per serving, in a way that is easy to measure, such as xxmg per heaped teaspoon? A cup of instant coffee can be prepared quickly and easily, without brewing, since this has already been done in the factory. I'm no doctor by the way so please don't take anything I'm saying as medical advice, if you think you should be limiting your caffeine intake then please speak to your doctor. I am so grateful this is the only decent article I have found – 5 weeks pregnant and love 1 cup of love Azera in the morning so this has made me really happy.

However the Douwe Egberts Life style range is ground to work in both cafetiere's and filter machines, but not espresso machines.

again though this doesn't make it all that simple for a consumer to work out how much caffeine is going to end up in their cup. The lids now have a "lip" for easier grip, or thumbs can be used to push "up" on the lip, so that the lid pops open. If a pregnant woman is advised to limit their caffeine intake to 200mg per day, then it should be easy for her by looking at the labels of whatever she is eating and drinking, to work this out. On that basis you could say a 7g scoop (7000mg) serving of their ground coffee would contain 105mg caffeine, (7000X1.

You should also note that the picture images show only our serving suggestions of how to prepare your food - all table accessories and additional items and/or ingredients pictured with the product you are purchasing are not included. Their study, in Science Translation Medicine, showed caffeine was more than just a stimulant and actually slowed down the body’s internal clock. This method employs dichloromethane (DCM) as a solvent and has been developed to suit the requirements of the out of home industry. Liquid CO2 from a natural origin is added to a tank of coffee beans which are soaked in water under high pressure.
