About this deal

The Paradise Edition performed moderately on international record charts in Europe, where it charted separately from Born to Die and Paradise. I do not have the US vinyl to compare to; I can imagine how cramming this album into a single LP would negatively affect the sound.

I just received mine and it does not contain Born to Die, only Paradise and a slipcase for the original LP.A1-A3 plays without problems, and entire side B and C also plays pretty much perfectly, although there are some minor pops even after a thorough cleaning (the horrible paper innersleaves really does no good for the discs, must be replaced immediately).

info/album/view/90708 The audio level issues is not a deal breaker for me because I digitize my records and mostly listen to them from my PC, which allows me to correct the audio levels in the process, but I can understand people who listen to the record directly finding this annoying. As someone humorously pointed out below, it sounds like Body Electric was mastered after the kids went to bed, and indeed, the RMS sound volume plummets by something like 5db from Cola to Body Electric. The hype sticker attached to the front — 'Limited slipcase holds original "Born To Die" LP' — , does much to sow confusion, implying that this is in fact a double album. The Paradise Edition was released in vinyl record packaging on November 20; it came with the vinyl for Paradise, and designated a slipcase to hold a separately-purchased vinyl of Born to Die. Difference is the printed Universal Music Group logo on back cover and the different runout on side B like Born To Die. While the project was not directly supported by singles of its own, the tracks " Ride" and " Burning Desire" were released from Paradise on September 25, 2012, and March 13, 2013, while " Dark Paradise" was serviced from Born to Die on March 1, 2013. I reckon this is also due to the record being delivered in an actual poly-lined sleeve instead of the crappy paper or cardboard sleeves that usually leaves a lot of fragments and dirt on the record.

The highlight for me is the inclusion of the remix CD, since her remixes are almost impossible to get on CD. For whatever reason, this side suffers a lot more than the other sides, even though this side only as three tracks and thus should be less prone to inner groove distortion. Video Games suffers terribly, however, in two ways: There are some momentary and very noticable distortions with strong sibbilance a handful of times which has also been reported on other versions, so I'm quite certain this is a mastering problem. In July, Del Rey expressed her intentions release an expanded version of Born to Die subtitled The Paradise Edition, which was initially expected to contain seven newly recorded tracks to supplement the original record. The final product was first released on November 9 in Australia, [5] and was later made available on November 13 in the United States.I would get this if you are a fan of hers (I mean probably every fan owns this by now, i mean we all know how her fans are).
