During the Second World War, bombing on the Clydebank shipyards, which lie in close proximity, left the Auchentoshan distillery greatly damaged with a substantial loss of spirit. Distilled at Auchentoshan in 2010, this single malt was filled into a single barrel to mature, where it stayed until 2022.

A marvellous single malt from the Lowland-based Auchentoshan distillery, independently bottled right here at MoM Towers. A 1 litre bottle of Auchentoshan's Blood Oak single malt, which was originally released for the Travel Retail Market. None of the current range is peated, and at the heart lies the 2008 release, ‘Classic’, an eighteen year-old and ‘Three Wood’; matured in Oloroso, Pedro Ximinez Sherry and Bourbon casks. It's actually ok quality sherry casks they've used, but it's so flushed out, way too much water that it dilutes the taste and quality.Lowland distillery Auchentoshan's flagship single malt whisky, famously triple-distilled which is unusual for a Scotch. In 1834, it was renamed Auchintoshan, taking from the Gaelic ‘achad oisnin’ or ‘corner of the field’.

Eight-year-old single malt from Auchentonshan, distilled in 2015 and matured in a single barrel until 2023.In a blind tasting vs Cardhu 12, it falls short in richness of smell, body of taste and lingering finish.

This single cask, single malt Scotch whisky from Lowlands distillery, Auchentoshan, spent 10 years maturing in a single first-fill Marsala wine barrique between June 2010 and March 2021.The result: a smooth and complex Single Malt Scotch Whisky, with notes of white peach and smooth vanilla cream. The Auchentoshan distillery is located in the Lowlands of Scotland, and has been in operation since 1823. Born in 1823, we are Scotland's only remaining distillery to insist on triple distilling every drop. The whisky was distilled in April 1998, and allowed to age in a single bourbon barrel, until it was bottled March 2021, for the Celebration of the Cask series.
