There are way too many subplots going on in this book. This also caused the book to be so bloated, which leads to my next issue, I was so excited to receive an ARC from NetGalley for Lucy Score's new release. As a fan of Things We Never Got Over and Forever Never, I had high hopes for "Maggie Moves On." I really enjoyed how they challenged each other’s perceptions and expectations for their futures. The way they both have to decide what they are willing to changed was interesting and real.

The theme of found family is always strong in Lucy Scores writing and I believe Maggie Moves On is one of her finest examples of this. The town on Kinship and it’s residents envelope Maggie and her team whist they integrate themselves in the lives of the townspeople. Maggie, with her commitment issues, fear of rejection, a past, and DIY- renovation talents shows up for her next project. Her plan to renovate, record, succeed, and move on is thwarted by the extremely handsome, sassy, lovable, and at times halfway dressed landscaper Silas. Pair that with his adorable canine, and his uncanny ability to disarm and frustratingly charm Maggie…and you have got yourself a great book. Silas for his part falls for Maggie right away but convincing her to stay might be too hard to accomplish. Thankfully, he and his pitbull, Kevin are charming with a capital C. I had such a fun time with this one. The relationships between all of the characters (beyond just Maggie and Silas' fire chemistry) is what truly makes this a memorable one for me..... a worthy addition to any book lover's beach bag this year 🎉 Maggie and Silas really were the best. I loved Silas and his flirtatious nature straight away, he was so charming and sweet from the start. This man melted me! He loved Maggie and her commanding attitude and everything she had achieved and overcome. I understood what she wanted and the conflict it caused since Silas was after her.Maggie is a home renovation YouTube star who takes on new renovation and finds herself the object of her new landscapers affection. She is working towards goals and keeping a few secrets so does not need the distraction. when she was clearly stressed out, he was telling her things she NEEDED to do. and of course, she did them every time.

Just unbelievable. Maggie Moves On is a new favorite! 6 stars! The characters, the attention to detail, the building, the house and even the dog. There were so many incredible moments full of so much emotion. I laughed, cried, passed out and fell madly in love with Maggie and Silas. This story was perfection. House-flipping sensation and YouTube star Maggie Nichols can't wait to dig into her next challenge.
