Ruined Christmas I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I’m writing this review as I’ve spent the last hour and a half trying to assemble it and I’m so frustrated. The instructions are awful. You can’t tell which way the pieces go as the directions don’t indicate which sides go up, etc. I had to resort to a YouTube video for help and still ended up putting on the the floors on the wrong way. When I went to fix my mistake, the pieces I had assembled pulled away from the particle board and now I can’t reattach them because the holes have torn off. The dollhouse includes five play people, plus 20 pieces of furniture such as lamps, a bed, a table and chairs, a refrigerator, an oven, a TV center, a couch, a tub, a toilet, and more. There’s even a wooden pet dog plus food bowls. There are two sets of stairs in the house, so kids can move figures and furniture from floor to floor realistically, and a working front door helps mimic a real-life house as well. The house stands almost 2 feet tall, making it a great size for a toddler and small children to play while learning hand-eye coordination and fine-motor skills, which helpds justify the high price tag.
I really like how the panels are already pre-covered with nice little prints, which clearly and easily signify what each room is surprised to be – Evie’s favourite has to be the living room for sure!I’ve given up…I’m sitting on my floor surrounded by dollhouse pieces…some of which are now damaged beyond my skill to repair.
