About this deal

Creality Slicer lets you see a multi-angle view of your model by changing the angle of the bed to 3D view front, top, left, and right view. You can also rotate and move the model around the bed, scale it along the X, Y, and Z axes. The inclusion of the Sprite direct-drive extruder is the real game-changer on this printer. We’ve never seen a direct-drive extruder on a Creality printer at this price point, and that feature offers enough added value that we think it’s worth purchasing the Ender 3 V3 SE over Creality’s other entry-level printers.

Ender 5 Pro vs Ender 3 V2/Neo: Best Budget 3D Printer? Ender 5 Pro vs Ender 3 V2/Neo: Best Budget 3D Printer?

Overall, the Creality Ender 3 V2 Neo impressed. It is what it claims to be: an updated version of the hugely successful Ender 3 that brings it in line with the new tech we have a few years on. But that wasn’t enough, we wanted to know what happens when you crank up the print speed on the Ender-3 V2 Neo right to the top.On the specifications side, the Ender 3 V2 features a silent 32-bit motherboard, TMC2208 stepper motor drivers, and a tempered carborundum glass platform, a big adhesion upgrade over previous Ender 3 beds, which also speeds up bed heating.

Both are screaming out for an ABL upgrade, either BL Touch or CR Touch, so a worthwhile mod to make as soon as possible. Both are what we’d consider average for entry-level 3D printers and are enough for a wide variety of projects, including decorative and displays pieces, household items, functional items, models, toys, and all those go-to Thingiverse favorites.

Within the slicer, you can also tweak the settings for infill settings, dual color printing, nozzle movement, slicer preview, and others. Also from the same video, like the Ender 3 v2, the main board fan is connected to the same power as the part cooling fan which is fine for PLA but it means for some other filament types the fan will be disabled. This can be changed by wiring it into the hot end fan which runs all the time.

As the Neo name implies, there are plenty of new features here. There’s automatic bed leveling courtesy of Creality’s CR Touch system, a full-metal Bowden extruder, and a flexible PC spring steel magnetic build plate. In keeping with tradition, the newest upgrades to the Ender line—the Ender 3 Neo series—have once again managed to combine impressive performance, affordability, simple design, and ease of use in their devices. They give entry-level users everything they need to create excellent quality 3D prints and enjoy a superior learning experience. There have been other designs that have popped up that offer multi or dual sided part cooling and/or additional part cooling fan support. Look in the printable accessories list below for things like the Neo Thang and the Minimus cooler. The Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo share many similarities. In fact, both 3D printers received some of the same upgrades from the previous generation of Ender 3 printers, such as: The Ender 5 Pro is ever so slightly more suited to more temperature-sensitive materials like nylon that require hotter nozzle temperature to print well.

Ender-3 V2 Neo Review: A Great Improvement on a Classic

But with so many printers in the Ender 3 series, it can be hard to understand the differences and decide on a machine. In this article, we’ll compare the Ender 3 V3 SE with the Ender 3 V2 Neo, the previous version in the Ender 3 series. The Creality Ender 3 V3 SE and Ender 3 V2 Neo differ in a few important ways, such as their extruder style and user interface. We’ll cover these differences in detail and point out where you may benefit from choosing one of these printers over the other. Extruder and Hot End Like most other printers in the Ender 3 series, both the Ender 3 V3 SE and the Ender 3 V2 Neo have a 220 x 220 x 250 mm (8.6 x 8.6 x 9.8 in) build volume. This is a respectable build volume and matches many other 3D printers from Creality and other brands, but if you need to print larger objects, one of Creality’s larger machines would be a better choice. Build volume is a case where bigger isn’t always better, though, because a larger build volume also means the machine itself will be physically larger. Size and Footprint Creality Wi-fi Cloud Box 2.0 is the newer version of the Creality Box and it likely supports a lot of the same things as the original plus some extra features, but I don't have any information or experience with trying to use it with an alternate firmware like OctoWrt or KlipperWrt. Both of these 3D printers include significant updates from their predecessors. Now, let’s take a closer look at some of the common features shared by the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo. Physical Design: Build Volume, Dimensions, and Design

Creality Ender-3 V2 Neo 3D Printer

Both the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo feature a build volume of 220 x 220 x 250 mm, which is the standard size on most Ender 3 printers, including the previous non-Neo versions of these printers. It’s slightly larger than the 200 mm cube that most entry-level 3D printers offer, but the slight increase in size is beneficial in a few ways. First, these 3D printers occupy almost the same desktop area as their smaller cousins, meaning you won’t need to clear off a large desk space to use them. Second, the enlarged Z-axis allows 3D printing of models with a taller profile. With some creative planning, you can also print wider 3D prints alongside the Z-axis. Assembled, the Ender 5 Pro is a bit bigger than the Ender 3 V2 – 552 x 485 x 510 mm and 475 x 470 x 620 mm, respectively – so factor this in if you’re working with limited workshop or bedroom space. Firmware Even at higher speeds it mostly maintains high precision and quality, and honestly we pushed it way beyond the settings you should be using it at on a day-to-day, so a couple of the models that have small imperfects and gaps would have come out perfect if we’d ran the print on calmer settings. As far as I can tell, the PTFE tube and coupling is basically the same as other Ender 3 printers and the Creality replacement kit (with Capricorn tubing) worked fine for me. Flashing the firmware involves putting the *.bin file on a FAT32 Micro SD Card and rebooting the printer. After a few minutes, it should be automatically flashed and ready to operate.
