This variety is a very popular all season cauliflower which can be set closer together than others to produce tasty small heads and is easier to grow than most other varieties. Firm the plants in well when you plant the plugs, as this will help them to form a firm cauliflower head. You’ll receive a complete growing guide with the plants, so follow the advice in that for best results with growing cauliflower. In the kitchen: Delicious boiled or steamed, and best eaten podded and peeled, broad beans are great in risotto, pasta dishes or smashed up with butter and served on bruschetta. With pale, mottled light green skin, these courgettes tend to start cropping a little earlier in the season (if the weather is good, of course!) It is a bush variety so will not take up too much space – great for pots! Courgettes are very easy to grow using plug plants – just follow the advice in the growing guide that comes with the plants. Very easy to grow, this variety of broad bean produces longer bean pods. Best harvested young and tender. The plants can be grown in beds or in large pots/planters. When to harvest: Start cutting the salad leaves when the plants reach about 10cm high. Clip the leaves with scissors, and the plants will re-grow and can be trimmed several times. Planting/Growing Advice:Plant plugs in spring/summer approx 15cm apart in planters, raised beds, pots, containers or grow bags. Harvesting: You can expect to harvest beans from mid to late summer. If you want to dry and store the beans, allow them to reach maturity on the plants before harvesting in early autumn – dry out thoroughly before storing in airtight jars. In the kitchen: Leeks are delicious in soups, stews and pies. You can steam, fry or boil. Finely chopping leeks brings out their flavour and texture. Planting advice: Plant 40cm apart.
