In the front left of the base, the color touchscreen resides, and on top the SD card and USB outlet. The power supply is passive, but considering that it only powers the printer hardware and hotend, it’s more than enough. The heatbed runs on mains power (in my case 220V) and it’s powered by the integrated Solid State Relay. The Sidewinder X1 has two Z steppers. Therefore, the X-axis does not “sag” or “hang” at an angle from a certain height. A toothed belt “synchronizes” both Z-axes. If you were hoping for a simple “yes” or “no”, I have to disappoint you. The Artillery Sidewinder X1 is really good, does a hell of a lot right. However, it’s not perfect. You only notice this in most places after prolonged intensive use. In my opinion, the only really worthy alternative to the Artillery Sidewinder X1 at the moment is the Creality3D CR-10 V2. However, the printer does not have a direct drive extruder.

However, the adhesive tape that is supposed to fix the cable will come off. In the meantime, good old tape, which was wrapped around the axle, helps out here. Open that file with your favorite text editor (ex: Notepad++) , Copy the contents and then paste them into OctoKlipper where you have the empty white box. I’d rate the Artillery Sidewinder X1 as a “very good” 3D printer. However, it also has its weaknesses. Use at your own risk! The firmware and Config Files are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. The Artillery Sidewinder has a very large build space of 300 x 300 x 400 mm. This also gives you enough space for larger projects. At this moment there was already Klipper v0.10.0 and Mainsail v2.1.0, buz no problem, with MainsailOS it's super easy to update all components.

Make sure that the wheels from the extruder are tightened and there is no play when trying to wiggle the extruder assembly. In my case, the extruder wheels where properly tightened.
The loudest components on the X1 are actually only the X and extruder stepper; they move very fast! The board/cables were not stained with hot glue The stepper drivers of the SWX1 are plugged in.

First, remove the heated bed from the Y axis carriage. Fully unscrew each of the four adjustment wheels until they’re completely off the screws. You can then carefully remove the bed and lay it off to the side. Take care not to lose the springs!The current firmware is currently outdated. Please use Digant’s firmware. He maintains it better than me and he also added a lot more functionality to the touchscreen. Why should you upgrade to Marlin 2.0.5.3? Some of the newer 3D printers come with stepper drivers meant to reduce noise during operations. However, when the printers have cheap fans, the noise is not reduced.
