The O11 Dynamic is a great PC chassis with tons of room around to work around. However, it has a limitation of the exhaust due to the absence of a rear fan mount making it a bit harder for those who are going to use a CPU air cooling solution, furthermore, the O11 dynamic has a limitation of 120mm fans everywhere except for that of the top, which could optionally fit two 140mm. However, the O11 Dynamic XL does offer a dedicated rear exhaust fan alongside the option to have room for 140mm fans both at the top and bottom.The O11D EVO provides far too many mounting options to list in a simple features table. For example, Lian Li states that the bottom of the case can hold four 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch drives; the side can hold four 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch drives; the drive cage can hold three 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch plus one 2.5-inch drive; and the cable-management bar can host two 2.5-inch drives—and that's before we start subtracting for the potential installation of a second power supply or side/bottom radiators. The actual limit stated by Lian Li is dictated by the number of screws and grommets included in the installation kit.

Yes you have to let go of that day in 8th grade earth science when we were by chance paying attention when teacher taught us "hot air rises" ... while there is a gentle rise in an indisturbed environment, that axiom does not apply when the air in your case is doing a 100% changeover every 0.5 to 1.5 seconds. This is simple math: Fans move air thru the radiation and the rate of heat removal is proportional to Delta T; so what does the math tell us ? Over the last few years Lian Li’s O11 line of enclosures has taken the PC Case market by storm. You can’t do a web search for “custom PC build” or watch an online video of people showing off their PCs, without seeing a multitude of PC-O11s, or another model based on the design. Sitting inside a second power supply mount, the removable drive cage includes two trays for 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch devices plus a set of 2.5-inch mounting points in its lid.Remember that grille and slot covers are an important part of case air flow design ... you don't need to have a gan pushing out every cfm of air being pushed in... The 1st law of water cooling is "never mix metals"... aka eliminate 99% of CLCs from consideration. The second law is "radiator fans always blow in. However, the best thing that I am in love with this case is the side panel mechanism where there are no visible screws to mount the glass panel. All the mounting procedure is worked in the top and then is covered by the top panel that again comes with captive thumbscrews. Exterior The O11 is designed for more than just adding a few fans, though. We'd recommend a more elaborate build with three 120mm intake fans on the bottom, since that's where the dust filter is located, plus some kind of radiator and fan combo on the top to aid in voltage-regulator cooling.

And it's immediately obvious .... The O11 Dynamic XL is launched in 2019 and it is a larger version of the original case, still bearing the Der8auer badge for his initial work on the O11 Dynamic. However, O11’s unique design utilizes the width as well as length making the XL variant only 18.5 inches longer than that of the non-XL variant. Exterior Keeping your options open, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case is compatible with both air and water cooling. Depending on how you configure certain hardware and panels will dictate the best cooling solution for your build. Unfortunately, I’m a bit stubborn. The front-panel light bar is powered by a SATA-style lead that's too short to photograph within the case-cable group below... Since it's designed to be equipped with the user's choice of hardware, including fans, the Lian Li 011D EVO presented a slight testing challenge in terms of comparing it to cases delivered with a loadout of their own fans. It overcame that challenge by flowing sufficient air in "exhaust only" mode using nothing more than the same closed-loop cooler that we'd used to evaluate those other cases. The metal side is vented in a way that hints at the O11D EVO's internal cooling configuration. The chassis frame has three 120mm radiator mounts, on the top, bottom, and side, with the last well-aligned with the metal panel's forward vent holes. In case you're wondering, that extra row of fan mounts does allow you to opt for a configuration with two 140mm fans as an alternative.

Ensuring you have more than enough liquid cooling to support an insane showcase rig or even a heavy lifting platform such as the Dominus Extreme. If you chose to go air cooling the maximum height is 167mm, so you should be fine there and 446mm GPU length, so, yea, I would say you can virtually fit anything in here. The PC011D XL does not come with any fans installed, and therefore you need to source your cooling options based on your brand and style preference. The glass side of the O11D EVO is slightly quieter than the Cooler Master's, while the vented side is slightly noisier. Both fall within earshot of the quiet-design Seta Q1, while the Corsair gets penalized for having more powerful fans than either the HAF 500 or Seta Q1. The final two accessories are PCIe riser cables for alternative orientations for your graphics card. Flexible Hardware
