Walter the Farting Dog” is a great book for the entire family that will have them rolling around laughing at Walter’s predicament for a long time. I would recommend this book to children ages five and up since smaller children might try to imitate the potty humor displayed in this book. The three stories that comprise this collection are rightfully termed ``illusions,'' for Kotzwinkle is a wizard of wordplay and his creations are spellbinding achievements. Few authors can juggle Continue reading » I admit it's a bit much at time. A dog that passes gas--often-- is the focus of an entire series of picture books. But I couldn't help but feature this one. I think Walter needs some more love. My boys love these books. (Walter is a close second to Llama Llama for my youngest.) This odd humor really appeals to them, which appeals to me. Anything to make them readers! This hilarious tale for children ages 4-8 (and adults who aren't afraid to laugh) features surreal illustrations by Audrey Colman and an absurdly comical storyline. Walter the Farting Dog is a timeless story about acceptance, love, and the incredible power of being oneself...farts and all. I read this book to my students & they adored it. Many of them took it home to read with their parents...that to me is awesome. :) Good book on compassion for kids... Silva, Mark (March 30, 2006). Irvine, Martha (April 30, 2004). "Farts, Underpants and runaway butts: authors say 'poop fiction' gets kids reading". Associated Press. Archived from the original on March 26, 2016. I'm a voracious reader from North Carolina currently traveling the United States with my husband and reviewing books as the mood strikes. I'll read almost anything--contemporary fiction, the classics, fantasy, historical fiction, horror, adult, young adult, middle grade... If it looks like an interesting story, I'm game! Zinc acetate supplementation: Zinc binds to sulfhydryl compounds in flatulence, ultimately serving to deodorize the gas. Here's the link for anybody with insomnia and a weird personality , who might want to while away 10 minutes on a kids book:

Parents should know that this book involves the main character farting throughout the story and anyone who does not like crude humor might find Walter’s constant farting a bit gross to handle. Also, the reason why I took off half a point from the rating was because I did not like the fact that Father was not called out on his actions for selling Walter in the first place and I just wanted to see Father feel some kind of remorse or redeem himself for his actions in this book. I read this to the kids subsituting the word "tooting" for "farting" - on the direction of their parents. I think we should go ahead and call a fart a fart, but I'm only the aunt, so I go along.

Another frequent source of dog farts is dietary fiber. Dietary fiber in pet food can cause a dog to fart as it is not easily digested by its own enzyme systems. Fiber is easily digested by the gas-producing bacteria that live in the colon. As fiber is broken down here, hydrogen sulfide is produced, which is the cause of the really stinky gases. Therefore, a diet that is heavy in fiber further promotes a “happy environment” as well as “food” for the bacteria, ultimately producing more gas and more farts.Fernandez, Jay A. (August 5, 2011). Have you ever heard a fart that could save the day? In this New York Times bestselling kids book, every toot tells a funny tale! This is one of the only two books in Latin I've ever read. Mostly because the only Latin I know I learned during school detentions. That and the Greek alphabet. I had started on Hannibal coming over the mountains, but I didn't get very far as I got expelled and that put a stop to the Latin lessons. A new report finds that one in three dogs and one in seven cats have unhealthy levels of E. coli present in their gut microbiome.Yucca schidigera supplementation: Currently, this extract is labeled as a flavoring agent for pet food, but it is also available as an oral supplement. Several studies have shown that it helps decrease the odor of farts. You will either love it or hate it. I hated it. I'm not a prude; I can sometimes appreciate potty humor. However, Trouble at the Yard Sale features such a cast of completely unsympathetic characters that I find nothing redeeming to say about this book. The father is a bastard who sells the family dog while the kids are off buying ice cream, then he lies and tells them the dog ran away. The guy he sold their dog to is an evil clown/crook who straps the dog into a "fart capturing machine" so that he can fill balloons that he then takes to the bank and pops, enabling him to rob the bank.
