About this deal

I thought the smell was fine, it reminds me of citronella (that you get in garden shops as an insect repellant), but not quite as strong. But most of all, my head and hair feel really fresh and clean, almost like a cooled sensation (must be the tea tree oil), so I may use the shampoo myself, as well as using it on my children. have only used it a couple of times so far, but have found it really easy to use. And the smell is just gorgeous, though slightly medicinal i have to say but i quite like that kinda smell for some strange reason! The kids really like the smell too, my oldest thought it smelt like limes! I only used a small blob on their heads, so it didnt lather up as much as i thought it might do. And i loved the bottle-very bright and easy to open. Well we haven't had headlice so far so hard to tell if the repellant works but my oldest's best friend had them and so far she hasn't got them so maybe it does. I use that vosene shampoo with nit repellant and my DS has (thankfully) never had nits. I use the comb and conditioner too though and have never seen one.

We have been using the Vosene shampoo since April (when my 2 DC had their first and only bout of nits) and neither of them have had them since - am sure it is a coincidence but makes me feel better Except one nutter who told us that it's ok ,as she washes her ds with voseene shampoo , but she doesn't really care as all kids have nits anyway . Our multi-award winning* children’s range contains natural head lice repellent actives, such as citronella oil and tea tree oil, to help keep head lice at bay. This multi-tasking duo cleans, conditions and detangles your children’s hair while providing extra protection against pesky head lice – all as part of your little one’s daily routine. Just as a side issue - Minor Ailments services are not available everywhere in England - they are services commissioned locally by PCTs. Not every PCT will commission, some will commission for the whole area or in the case of the town I live and work in you have to be registered with a GP and live in the most deprived area of the town. Vosene are a bit different in that it's a shampoo that claims to repel the bugs and prevent your child catching them! Sounds good to us!

Dd4 (asd) had caught nits. I found it in time and it has been treated and cleared , and has not spread to any of the other children.

Vosene | Anti-Dandruff Shampoo : Vosene

All you lot swearing by the vosene shampoo its much more likely to be the conditioner and the combing through with the nit comb thats keeping the nit comb at bay rather than the actual shampoo. Head lice will be different again - it could fall under public health and we may get services from Public Health England or Local Councils - will there be any money? Vosene Vosene Kids 3 in 1 conditioning shampoo has the added benefit of natural ingredients Tea Tree Oil and Lemon Eucalyptus that work to help prevent head lice, leaving your child with naturally healthy, head lice-free hair.I can't say what effect it has on head lice, as my children have never caught them yet, but hopefully it will repel any that want to live on their heads. Our shampoos are specially formulated to be suitable for all the family. However, we would only advise it for use on children over the age of six with advice from your GP. We also have a dedicated kids range which is specifically designed for little ones.
