The FUNCTION button is the small, circular button in the middle of the device. The OnionOS documentation calls this the MENU button. The following hotkeys work when pressed together with the FUNCTION button. Action There are ways to “upgrade” this device with a new OS made by the community, but I don’t think it’s fair to review a product that needs altering by its community.

For the purpose of this review, we were sent the white Miyoo Mini Plus with a 64Gb MicroSD card. The Hardware

I’m not a fan of high gloss buttons only because they get a little slippery, but that’s just a personal preference of mine. Last year Miyoo released a handheld called the Miyoo Mini, a matchbox sized device that actually won our best retro handhelds of the year award, it was the perfect little handheld emulator for newcomers and handheld nerds. Onion OS provides more emulators, features and improved overall performance. Also keep in mind that after any additions to the ROMs on your SD card, you should "Refresh all roms". To do this, highlight "Games" on the main user interface of Onion OS, and tap the "Select" button. A prompt will pop up confirming that you would like to "Refresh all Roms". Hit the "A" button to confirm. Famicom Disk System games often require you to change discs. Use the following input sequence to do so: You can now copy over any system BIOS files such as those for the Neo Geo, Gameboy Advance and PlayStation. These BIOS files are required to emulate the system correctly. The BIOS files should go into the BIOS folder on the micro SD card.The change has now been saved and should take effect straight away. Mapping the Miyoo Mini Plus buttons If you enter GameSwitcher mode while a game is running, a save-state will be created automatically. The game will resume from that point the next time it’s played (either from GameSwitcher or a game-list). Your Miyoo Mini comes with a range of themes. You can choose your preferred theme by running App -> Themes. The screen used is very bright, the perfect 4:3 aspect ratio for playing old games and features small bezels, giving it a modern sleek look which I dig.
