Houston's parents killed themselves when he was 13 so that's why he's moody and broody the entire book. We don't find this out until the last 10% or so. elements in this book that definitely kept me entertained and wanting to keep reading more... but there was also a lot about it that I was very meh about. Jaded, gorgeous, and ridiculously talented--they're determined to turn my dream into a nightmare. It's no secret I wasn't their first choice. I wasn't even their last. The label wants a new image, Bound wants me gone, but I've got my own agenda.

I laughed, I cheered, and I cried reading this book. Our main character is a badass with a unique style who I identify with a lot. She’s strong and refuses to let others see any weakness in her so when the band decides to make her life hell she always manages to come out on top.
