About this deal

That's about what I would give it. I would have rather preferred a new Battlefield but I guess it will be COD until next year. Only reason I get them is to play with the boys. Outside of missions where you are lone-wolfing it or teaming up with a crew, you can interact with your teammates in new ways for the franchise. But those fears are unfounded with systems in place to transfer save/game data, as well as a number of publishers providing gamers the opportunity to upgrade their games to the next-gen version, often free of charge, but sometimes at a cost. Cold War's biggest miss, in terms of story, is giving the United States very little grief for its imagined ills. Without going into too much detail, the US is ultimately responsible for the main (and completely fictional) issue at the center of the game's campaign, all due to an absolutely bonkers anti-Soviet strategy gone awry. The protagonists' main concern is that the US will be blamed for how the Soviets use this to their advantage, rather than that the US is indeed guilty of a major foreign policy blunder and human rights violation in the first place. There are moments in one of the two major endings where the game flirts with the idea that the US is not blameless, but it's ostensibly the bad ending; completing its objectives made me feel guilty, which ultimately solidified my suspicion that the US was meant to be the good guys all along and that the ends justified the questionable means. Most levels give you multiple options in terms of your approach to combat, too, and some even account for blunders on your part. For example, an early mission tasks you with assassinating a target before he boards a plane and gets away. You'll screw up the assassination regardless, but the first time I did it, I was too slow and didn't even get a shot off before he began to escape; the second time, I did it "correctly" and shot at him, but the shot ended up hitting someone else and the target began to escape anyway. Even though the scene proceeds the same way no matter what, the illusion of flexibility, at least, makes Cold War's campaign dynamic and exciting--it often feels like you're just barely getting away with whatever hijinks you're trying to pull. In November 1983, Requiem deploys a strike team to the bunker in Morasko, dubbed Projekt Endstation, where they discover a rift that acts as a gateway to the Dark Aether dimension, responsible for other global dimensional breaches. Upon further investigation, the strike team uncovers a device in the facility called Der Wechsler, which can restore a zombie's brain functionality. The strike team uses it on one of the roaming zombies in the facility, who was a former Omega Group member named Orlov. In turn, he agrees to help the team close the dimensional rift. Orlov successfully seals the rift, destroying Endstation and sacrificing himself in the process, while allowing the strike team to escape. The Zombies mode is similarly good fun, especially if you’re more of a co-operator than a competitive player at heart. The premise is interesting and it commits to the far more interesting absurd side of the game, as you enter portals to another world and fight off plague hounds. they really need to fix Modern Warfare on PS5. The reinstall thing is killing me...... coming onto 2 weeks now, wish they look into it ASAP

This. I got through the first 2 missions in about a half hour then got hit with a message saying I need to install the other parts of the campaign. Took me a few minutes to realize you have to go to the store tab in the main menu to get it.

It's allright. And I enjoyed Zombies a lot, until a few days ago... when I started to loose connection both in MP and Zombies, and the hateful connection symbol started popping up(just like in so many older Treyarch titles) very annoying and gamebreaking. Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall. As with any Call of Duty game, the standard suite of 6v6 multiplayer modes is here. There's not much to say about the modes themselves that hasn't been said before; they're the bread and butter of the multiplayer CoD experience, and most of them work well. A few days after, Adler, Mason, Woods and Hudson investigate an underground Nazi bunker in the ruins of Verdansk, where they meet Captain Carver Butcher, a retired Special Operations Executive agent and founder of Task Force Vanguard. Butcher begins telling Adler and the others of his mission in leading various special operations task forces to hunt down remnants of the Nazi empire in the Pacific. Cold War carries on Zombies tradition of having mysterious and intricate stories. I don’t personally ever find myself very invested in the Zombies lore, though I know a lot of people are and I appreciate its continued inclusion. morrisseymuse I really loved the MW Campaign is wish they put in more Farah in the campaign really fun not playing the standard American.

Flaming_Kaiser yeah I agree, it was nice not to be all "MERICA!" for the entirety of a COD campaign lol That said, the night vision level was amongst the series finest. On PS5, the DualSense's adaptive triggers give more dimension to how an individual gun feels to use All Specifications require a broadband connection and DirectX 12 compatibility. Additional storage space may be required for mandatory game updates. Only Intel/AMD processors are supported at this time. With its appealing Warzone integration and the hotly anticipated return of Zombies, there’s plenty here for every kind of returning player, but what about those consumers who are just looking for a solid shooter to play on their new device?
