About this deal

Just be aware your never going to be able to take advantage of the 4K/120 as a gamer. Due to the half resolution issue it’s more like 2.5/3K with 120fps. The lag time and reaction time of TCL is very good. With the inclusion of VRR, FreeSync, G-Sync, ALLM, you can easily enjoy smoother and clearer games. It reduces blur and screen tearing but it doesn’t have HDMI 2.1. between TCL 6 series vs Samsung Q80T , the Samsung has HDMI 2.1 and 4k@120Hz, TCL supports 4k @60Hz and 1440p@120Hz. However, it is best it hey have built-in Google Assistant or support Alexa because they can be used for wide range of options. You can ask the assistant for a nearby restaurant, sports score or corona update. Quality The 826K - This has a 120hz panel but a cheaper HDMI chip that only does 2.0. So while you can watch 4k 120hz content on the screen you can't input it via the HDMI. Effectively making it redundant..... odd thing to do.

That doesn’t just mean games running at 4K/120.. your gonna need to manually set your console to 60Hz. Game Master : you automatically experience the most liquid action, the lowest latency and the best image settings for games. Audio is again superb - if you have a smaller living room then absolutely no need for a sound bar. Clarity and bass are really good here with very clear dialogue. Audio surprisingly doesn't go that loud - you could almost max this thing out but you would be in danger of a bit of distortion. With Roku, the apps work smoothly and have less chance to be broken. Samsung uses decent Smart OS, Tizen. It comes with OneRemote with which you can control the TV along with other smart devices. The QLED TV also works with Samsung SmartThings to link other IoT devices. The Universal Guide helps you with popular suggested content so you don’t have to search frequently. TCL 55R635 Pros Samsung uses Quantum processor 4k and gas Quantum HDR 12X. the contrast doesn’t increase much even with local dimming. This might be due to the ‘Ultra Viewing Angle’ layer which improves the view from an angle and it is much better than TCL 6 series. I'm still playing with the picture settings, on Live TV I have brought the brightness down to 50 and the colour saturation down. But I only did that because I wasn't use to such a bright TV, the Philips OLED was no where near this brightness. The other gift of the AiPQ processor is its upscaling. When we used the same 4K Blu-ray player to send ABC iView catch-up to the TCL, the Movie Mode was wholly inappropriate and delivered notable judder on the panning shots opening The Hollow Crown’s second season. TCL Roku OS is nothing new to talk about. It supports Apple TV, Disney+, Google Play Movies & TV, Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video, Sling TV, and YouTube, etc but it doesn’t have Twitch. The remote is similar to older models with a plus-shaped navigation pad and it also comes with a microphone to use Roku Assistant.

The problem is, not all TV series or brands have several TV screen options. For instance if you have a small room and you want to choose the TCL 6 series, then you will not have to option to choose 43” or 49” TV. Design resolution is a must-have on any TV these days, of course, though it's notable that TCL supports all the important HDR formats: HDR10, HLG, Dolby Visionand HDR10+. Between Samsung vs TCL, TCL tries to win the market by producing excellent picture quality at a low or reasonable cost. So, if you are on a tight budget yet don’t want to compromise picture quality, then TCL is best for you. Samsung, being an old and most famous brand, remains in the market by gaining trust of several consumers. Here the Motion Clarity settings delivered impressive results, and while the upscaling couldn’t entirely mask the sub-SD streaming resolution, the limited frame rate of this catch-up streaming was impressively smoothly rendered. HDR compatibility of TCL is mostly limited in HDR 10. Moreover, HLG and Dolby Vision but 8k models support HDR 10+ as well. Not saying that this TV is trash, but at this point it has potentially critical issues that prevents it from functioning as advertised, especially when it comes to 4K 120hz support over HDMI 2.1. Until an in-depth review is published by a reviewer that analyzes these issues, its true performance is still a mystery. Although TCL speaker or sound output remains the same as older models, this time, the speakers will work on bass by going as low as 80 Hz. Another advantage is that you can easily choose a Dolby Atmos soundbar to go with the TV because it supports Dolby Atmos passthrough. You can choose the Vizio SB36512-F6, Samsung HW-Q90R or others. When you fire up the TCL for the first time, the brightness is truly remarkable. We had our computer connected to one of the HDMI ports, and its white desktop set the TCL’s screen utterly ablaze. This setting also brings up shadow detail significantly, which can require some brightness adjustments to prevent being excessive. It’s a crucial inclusion, yet for reasons unknown, the UK C825 model doesn’t have the dynamic tone mapping. Curiously this all changed after a firmware update, when the Hobbit movie’s Dolby Vision HDR invoked an automatic selection of Dolby Vision IQ as picture mode, but with options for Dolby Vision Light, Dark, and Game. This, however, removed any ability to influence motion settings.

Is there a promotion on TCL 55C826K 55 Inch Mini LED QLED 4K Ultra HD Smart Android TV in next week’s Costco leaflet? That's the question we're asking ourselves after the surprise announcement of the TCL C825, a successor to last year's C81 QLED that brings in more advanced technologies from its US range. While TVs with woofer and Dolby Atmos along with high SPL are a step ahead towards better audio, you can always have home theater experience with an affordable soundbar. Horrible audio delay (audio is perhaps 300 ms or more behind the picture) in DBV-T. This is the main reason I'm returning the TV. It's not possible to mitigate it in the receiver. (no delay in Netflix, Youtube, apps, etc...)

The motion seems fine, I don't use it for gaming or sport though, the only sport I watch is rugby and there hasn't been any matches on since I bought the TV. Processing is really great as well - far better than the Hisense I came from. This thing is bright I had to dial it down straight out the box even in movie mode.
