While initially announced for a spring 2022 release, the Steve and Alex amiibo were delayed until later in 2022"due to a logistics and production delay." I got both on Friday. Besides, I'm all for variants. I wish I had P2 Bayonetta and Girl Corrin. Why is it that Cloud Strife, ROB, and Steve has to be the only Smash amiibo characters I have P2 Versions of? I have two versions of 8-Bit Mario, but Super Mario Maker 1 is practically useless, and I got the box signed by Charles Martinet. The announcements from today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation just keep on coming, as Sakurai-san delivers the latest news on amiibo figures. If anything maybe certain manufacturers have to produce certain figures due to exclusive merchandising rights. Otherboard : I strongly doubt that. I’m pretty sure the amiibo is part of the arrangement as was the case with every other character. Nintendo has generally been a lot slower to release Smash amiibo over the last few years (no-one from the second fighter pass has been released yet) possibly due to less demand.

I’m just glad my collection will finally be completed and I won’t have to spend any more money on Smash amiibo. I try not to think about how much money I’ve spent on those dang things… When he’s not paying off a loan to Tom Nook, Liam likes to report on the latest Nintendo news and admire his library of video games. His favourite Nintendo character used to be a guitar-playing dog, but nowadays he prefers to hang out with Judd the cat. For cloud corrin and bayo, I think its just because they were the last DLC characters for smash 4. They are the only ones who got a new specific mould, so its likely just as a final big hurrah sort of thing. ugh. Just like with Terry, I couldn't care less about these Amiibo. But I so far have a complete Smash collection, so of course I'm going to have to buy them :/ Earlier this year in February, these amiibo were delayed due to "logistics and production" issues, but now we've finally got an official launch date - confirming both of these amiibo will be arriving on 9th September.

Edit: Another idea is to give you a in-game emote related to the character character you scanned, like one of their taunts in smash maybe. As well as the major news that Kingdom Hearts' Sora has taken Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's final roster spot, last week's Direct also revealed that Steve and Alex will be receiving amiibo figures next year. It'd be cool if Mojang decide to add amiibo support to the Switch version of Minecraft with these on the horizon. I will say I am glad this amiibo ride is coming to an end. I have sooo many of these things. While I use a lot of them (zelda set, monster hunter set, FE set) some only have real use in smash so I am happy all of this will be done next year.

Not quite sure why the figures look more saturated, but as Steve was my most wanted character prior to release despite the fact that I haven't played Minecraft regularly for years, I couldn't pass up the chance to get him (and Alex, I guess) It's a progressive idea that avoids men being default, which has actually been the case for a majority of Smash Bros characters with alts available.YoshiAngemon That's how I see amiibo figures. I get them for the figures themselves, not the bonuses, especially those with little to no merchandise like Captain Falcon, Dr. Mario, biker Wario, the Miis or Chibi-Robo.
