About this deal

Gabe and Pippa, along with their two four-year-old daughters, have moved to a cliffside home in Portsea, Australia. They’re hoping for a fresh start after Gabe’s unstable work history and increasingly erratic behavior have led to yet another move. Unfortunately, the cliff on their property is a well-known spot called “The Drop” for those who want to end their lives. Fortunately, Gabe seems to have a gift for talking people away from the edge … at least he did until this most recent woman shows up. Now she’s dead, and Pippa’s left to make sense of what she saw from the window. Then the ending happened. And I was... quite shook? Really disturbed? Disappointed? Angry? All of them at once and more? Por qué las escritoras siempre escriben que el CABELLO SUDOROSO es sexy??? AHHH?, es ASQUEROSO!!! más aún cuando les gotea porque tocaron en un bar lleno de humo y cerveza...Puaj!

Lady Louisa Vivers is the current star of the season. The spirited younger sister of the Earl of Worthington, Louisa is the most eligible young lady in every ballroom she enters. Yet she longs for someone who will love her for who she is, not her connections; a man who will take her on adventures and be as passionate as her dreams. Could it be Gideon, the Duke of Rothwell? There is nothing on earth more beautiful to me than your smile...no sound sweeter than your laughter...no pleasure greater than holding you in my arms. I realized today that I could never live without you, stubborn little hellion that you are. In this life and the next, you’re my only hope of happiness. Tell me, Lillian, dearest love...how can you have reached so far inside my heart?” When analyzing a soulmate relationship, try to look at it from the persepctive of life lessons. Ask yourself what life lessons you learned from the soulmate experience, and you’ll find it easier to appreciate that soulmate regardless of the circumstances of the interaction. If a soulmate has hurt you… You can't reason with your heart; it has its own laws, and thumps about things which the intellect scorns."-Mark Twain Second, it was very slow-paced and the story didn’t really make sense to me most of the time. There were a lot of scenes that aren’t needed in the story and are just waste of time. I was almost done with the book and I can’t still find any logical explanations as to why things on the book happened. The book could have been better. It was sci-fi, yes but it didn’t feel it. It was more of a contemporary young adult romance with twisted parts that science can’t explain—like a natural phenomenon. I wish she just made the book shorter because it was like 95% of boredom and 5% of awesomeness, and it wasn’t even that awesome, and it annoys the hell out of me. The plot twist wasn’t that catchy simply because it was revealed late. I just scanned and struggled to finish the book because I want it done already because it didn’t work out for me.One of the premises behind the idea of past lives is that we go through a series of lessons and evolve. In each lifetime, there are insights that we choose to learn. A soul group is a group of souls who we’re connected to on a spiritual level.

In The Soulmate, Sally Hepworth explores the (mis)perceptions of a perfect marriage. What those see on the outside isn't so perfect behind closed doors. A fantastic contemporary YA romance with a dark edge – I read it in one sitting!” - Melissa Cox, Waterstone’s Children’s Book Buyer Overall: as always I give any Sally Hepworth book five stars! I’m loyal to my tradition so I’m giving my well deserved, five deliciously twisty, heartbreaking, psychological thriller stars!

This is the third novel I have read from this author and I have felt that way about every one of them. The plots are just so compelling, it's almost impossible to stop. Every chapter leaves you wanting more; more answers, more drama, more revelations. It's a whole experience. We have two narrators, Pippa and the dead woman and we see the events of this story through their eyes, now and in the past. Both woman love their husbands, faults and all. Fidelity and loyalty play a part in this story. Can these women trust their husbands? Can their husbands trust their wives. This is very much a character study and with a huge focus on marriage and partnership. How strong are the bonds within each relationship? Just how much can each partner take? Told from the alternating perspectives of Pippa (NOW) and Amanda (AFTER) Sally Hepworth delivers yet ANOTHER original story that surprised me not ONCE-not TWICE- but at least THREE times!
