About this deal

I also want to try my DC-1 just as a preamp. I’ve read it’s a nice analog resistor ladder? I’m wondering how the volume is handled in the Topping. All this to say that… I could ear no difference when switching from A to B the commuter on the SOLUPEAK P2 box. At first I was so surprised that the two amps sounded identical that I had to switch one of them off to make sure I didn't make any mistakes with the cable connections. Perhaps (I repeat, PERHAPS) the Sabaj is a little more "airy" in the medium frequencies but I wouldn't be willing to bet more than one Euro on this. Only at higher volumes I was able to hear a fuller sound (= with a bit of emphasis on the bass) from the Rotel with the DSP active (Stereo mode).

And mostpower amps and powered speakers still have analog inputs to accommodate the analog outputs from source components... aptX .............................................................................16bit/44.1 kHz_352kbps I’m not one of those audiophiles who is able to describe the sound of a device or a system using fancy terms. What I can say is that with the Sabaj I did not notice any particular difference in the reproduction of the low frequencies of my Dali Zensor 3, maybe they are a little bit more controlled than with my previous amplifier (I read somewhere that the SMSL VMV A2 twin device has an insanely high dumping factor of 4000). On the other hand the mid and high frequencies seems to be more alive and in general the music reproduction is more detailed and engaging. Although I would not bet my left kidney, I would say that I also noticed an improvement in the imaging and soundstage likely due to the very limited crosstalk between the two channels. I did not know what to expect from my first class D amplifier, in summary I would say that the sound is detailed, natural and not fatiguing at all.My plan with the dacs was to try them out in several setups to see their performance relative to my DC-1 and XMC-1. That is ongoing, as I haven’t been able to try all the variations, especially using the dacs as preamps vs dac only. The DC-1 has a pretty nice analog in, and the XMC-1 has a balanced input. The reason for that is I’ve been busy enjoying the Sabaj, which is a pretty incredible piece!

The SMSL VMV A2 (which should provide similar measurements to the Sabaj A30) has about 15% less power than the NC252MP (206 vs 236 watts) but with a better SINAD (particularly at 8 Ohm). It should be noted that the SMSL VMV A2 achieves these results using the optical input while the analogue one shows high noise below 50 Hz (maybe this problem has been solved for the Sabaj). If A30a is connected to the high level input of SW, a short circuit condition may occur inside SW and destroy A30a. From the contents of the product, it is the Sabaj version of SMSL A2. I don't think the chip configuration has changed either. Folks needs to understand and probably be patience that Peter is obviously not an engineer ... just a marketing guy, etc. So you are not talking to someone like JohnY. who wears the designer/engineer hat (which also gives him the luxury/convenience to ignore/stay way from customer complaints of a Topping product in this forum, PA5 being the prime example).Weight ..........................................................................................3.3kg/7.28lbs

We put a strong emphasis on being the first to offer innovative products that match the expectations of the market and customers. I'd tried to pair the digital amplifier Sabaj A30A via the USB-C input with a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W loaded with Picoreplayer 8.3.0 as a streamer (digital source). I used Pi -> micro-USB OTG -> male USB-A to male USB-C -> Sabaj A30A. With OTG cable in the chain Sabaj could display 44.1 on the USB display (with a single cable micro-usb to usb-c it could not) But the Pi continue to be unable to see the Sabaj. (aplay -l show me no soundcard) I think it is maybe a setting output problem or a problem related with the micro-usb - usb-c chain. Any help? Forum Home Amplifiers Solid State Pass Labs Tubes / Valves Chip Amps Class D Power Supplies Headphone Systems For the gearheads among us (or just those technically inclined 🙂) these are the three main chips in the A30a: There is no led that indicates if the device is on. When the display is dimmed and no music is playing is impossible to say if the amplifier is on or off. SNR ..........................................................................................................116dBUSB compatibility ..................................Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 11(Needs Driver) Mac OSX、Linux(Driverless) The test was carried out using as a source a Wiim Mini playing mainly jazz music from Tidal (44.1 khz 16 bit). I used matching volume on the two amps (mostly medium volume) with the tone controls set to zero (flat). On the Rotel RSX 1067 I tested both the “stereo” (DSP active) and “bypass” (DSP off) modes. The Dali Zensor 3 have been so far connected to a 1984 Marantz PM 550 DC amplifier and a few times to a (24 kg!!) Rotel RSX-1067 and a Denon DRA 800H. I then decided to connect to the Sabaj to my Martin Logan Dynamo 700w subwoofer. I really appreciate the availability of a combined low pass and high pass filter although the lower cutoff setting available (70 Hz) could be limiting in some setups. Considering that my Dali Zensor 3 are not exuberant on the low frequencies, the use of the subwoofer (with a cutoff at either 80 or 90 Hz) significantly improved the final quality of the sound.
