About this deal

As their summer gets downright steamy, Silas manages to demolish the emotional walls Maggie’s spent years building, sending her into a panic. He’s the wrench in her carefully constructed plans. With the end of the project looming, Maggie has a decision to make. But how can she stay when her entire career is built on moving on? I was obsessed with how instantly obsessed Silas was with Maggie- including his first impression of her and calling her his future wife in his head lol. They were funny and so dang cute that I read this book within a day. Their spice was hot, their banter/interactions were so funny, and in typical Lucy Score fashion, it was a book that gave you all the feels you want from a romance book. I always laugh out loud while reading her books and just the overall experience of this book was so good that Lucy Score will remain one of my favorite authors. The man takes flirtation to a whole new level. And he does it shirtless...sometimes pants-less. He and his service school-dropout dog are impressively persistent. But she's not interested in putting down roots. Not when fans tune in to watch her travel the country turning dilapidated houses into dream homes. A short-term fling on the other hand could fit nicely into her calendar. After all, Maggie remembers what fun is like. Vaguely.

House-flipping sensation and YouTube star Maggie Nichols can't wait to dig into her next challenge. the hero, silas, was too flirty for my taste. he reminded me of lucy score’s other hero, linc, but a less likable version. something about him falling into lust with maggie before even speaking to her... Also I have to mention this, Silas is 37 right, and he doesn't know what YouTube is...YouTube??? If he was in his 50s I could maybe see it, but he would've been around 20 when YouTube came out, it wasn't that long ago. Everyone I know who's in their mid thirties knows about YouTube, come on now. Silas did not grow up in a cave!!! also, are we just gonna ignore the fact that maggie basically forced her gay friend to marry her because she was “lonely” GIRL BYE😵‍💫🤣Maggie may like the landscape plans Silas has for the Campbell place, but she has a firm rule never to date one of her contractors. Sure, his easy charm, effortless flirting, and compassion for others are appealing, but her lists, schedules, spreadsheets, and timelines leave little room for a good time and none for a romantic relationship. Except the more time she spends with Silas, the more she gets drawn into his world, his community, his family, and the beauty and majesty of the nature that surrounds them. silas believes in signs. meaning, some things are just meant to happen. for example, before silas met maggie, he broke up with his girlfriend a few weeks prior. maggie discovers her sign at the end of the book when silas’s mom notices something in a picture of maggie’s mom. Lucy Score proves why she's such a powerhouse with this smart and sexy, head-over-heels, laugh-out-loud comedy! Romantic comedy Maggie Moves On brings fresh humour, adventure, and all the feels to a small-town when a house-flipping Youtube star falls for the local landscaper. Fans of Abby Jimenez, Christina Lauren and Talia Hibbert will love this. Not when fans tune in to see her travel the country turning abandoned houses into dream homes. A short-term infidelity, on the other hand, might fit well into her schedule. Finally, Maggie remembers how much fun it is. Vague.

From the get go Maggie was the type of woman who got down and dirty, was part of every aspect in putting together the dream home of the houses she flipped. In addition, Maggie was so laser focused on her goals that she didn’t let anything get in her way… that is until she met her newest landscaper, Silas.Written in the third person with dual perspectives, Maggie Moves On is Lucy Score’s first traditionally published book. I’ve been a Lucy fan for several years and it’s great to see her becoming more widely known with the TikTok success of her indie published, Things We Never Got Over and By a Thread. The home improvement aspect of this book is reminiscent of her book, The Christmas Fix, and Score even gives a shout out to the heroine of that book. The underlying mystery also reminded me of her Bootleg Springs series with Claire Kingsley. ( Whiskey Chaser)

The secondary characters are as fantastic as Maggie and Silas. Silas has an amazing family, and the small-town feel of the community is lovely. I like that Maggie finds so many people in Kinship to connect with. From Silas’s sisters to an at-risk teen to the cranky old man with a connection to Maggie’s house, she finds so much more than a house renovation in Kinship, Ohio. And Silas’s moms are the best! They’re so smart and fun, and the way they and the rest of the family welcome all into their fold is fantastic. The man takes flirtation to a whole new level. And he does it shirtless . . . He's impressively persistent. But Maggie's not interested in putting down roots. A short-term fling on the other hand could fit nicely into her calendar. In complete honesty, I read this for the dog. I saw it on the cover and that made me want to read it. Would I have read it otherwise? Eh, p As their summer gets downright steamy, Silas manages to demolish the emotional walls she's spent years building, sending Maggie into a panic. He's the wrench in her carefully constructed plans. With the end of the project looming, she has a decision to make. But how can she stay when her entire career is built on moving on? At the end of the day, your quality of life is determined by the people you surround yourself with.” You can have him Maggie – I’m moving on!!!One of my favorite characters in the story is Kevin. Silas’s dog is the perfect addition to the story, and he’s so adorable, as is his hunky owner. Silas is funny and charming, and the way he almost instantly knows Maggie is the one for him is super romantic. I love that he wears his heart on his sleeve and isn’t afraid to show his feelings. Silas and Maggie’s banter is fantastic, and the way he teases and flirts with Maggie is relentless and endearing. And Silas and Maggie’s romance is fantastic!! I loved both characters and adored their love story. They have so much chemistry, and Silas’s overtures are super swoon-worthy. Fun filled, this one will capture your heart. I really loved Silas's character and the pooch Kevin was an added bonus! I also really enjoyed Silas’ family and all the different dynamics that played out. There were so many moments that fulfilled me and made my heart happy. As well as the romance, there is a beautiful story about the house itself and the original owners who have added a layer of mystery to it all. I loved all the clues and clues and connection points along the way that added a very special layer to the story that makes it even more satisfying. Maggie is a YouTuber who rehabs houses and sells them, then moves on to the next. It’s her job and she loves it. But now she’s in a town that is just begging her to stay in every way. And that biggest way is Silas, the hot landscaper. Just unbelievable. Maggie Moves On is a new favorite! 6 stars! The characters, the attention to detail, the building, the house and even the dog. There were so many incredible moments full of so much emotion. I laughed, cried, passed out and fell madly in love with Maggie and Silas. This story was perfection.
