Founded in 2008, Level8 is a New York-based company that focuses on expertly crafting sleek, minimalistic luggage perfect for all travelers. As with all wheeled luggage, some of the interior is taken up by the handle compartment. However, the space that this uses is minimal. The 360-degree spinner wheels are very impressive. They allow the suitcase to glide smoothly and quietly along pavements and cope with those Belgian cobblestone streets. The telescopic handle on each of the bags is made from aluminum alloy and certainly feels very sturdy. Unlike some other suitcase brands, the handle easily slides up and down without catching and with minimal resistance.
The Textured Carry On features multi-directional spinner wheels that are smooth, ultra quiet, and provide effortless control. The wheels are put through rigorous testing to ensure durability, even when taken on rough cobblestone streets. Technical Specifications I ran a pair of scissors across the surface and it took a reasonable amount of force for any marks to appear, and even then, the textured surface made it very hard to see them. It is crafted from aerospace-grade Bayer Makrolon®, a hard shell material that is light, durableand water-resistant. No flimsiness here; it feels very robust and high-end. We specifically wanted a carry-on bag each that had a dedicated compartment for our laptops. The Textured Carry On features an aluminum alloy handle that extends to multiple heights for maximum comfort. The material of the handle means it’s sturdy, yet doesn’t add weight to the bag. While there are cheaper options out there, we’ve found that they don’t offer the same quality or design. If you’ve had a few carry on luggage pieces before, then you know that not all wheels are made to last. But that’s not the case with Level 8 products.
The plus side of this is that it gives you easy access to both sides, rather than having to dig to the bottom of one deep side to find things, and allows for better organizing. I can see that this luggage is built to last for the long run and still maintain a modern aesthetic, looking stylish even in the years to come.
