We’ve been getting smashed with questions for the last few weeks about how we managed to make our 65 inch 4K screens Bezel Free. ROG Bezel-Free Kit is designed for a triple monitor setup placed in an angle between 120-130° (tested internally for the best viewing and immersive experience) Asus sells a kit for smaller screens to achieve this effect, but it it’s advertised as only being suitable for screens up to 27 inches, so in today’s video I’ll run you through how we combined two kits to work with our 65 inch screens with surprisingly good results. For this to work, monitors must sit at a 130-degree angle. There's probably a bit of leeway there, though I imagine it will diminish the effect if deviating too far from what Asus has determined to offer the "best balance of comfort and immersion." It's also a universal kit that should work with any flat-panel monitor under 27 inches. That means bigger monitors need not apply, unfortunately. Although that solution is not very good, you can do your own 'bezel free kit' using an old broken monitor or tv, just gut it open and take the fresnel lens-sheet. Cut suitable stripes and your good to go. I tried it before getting the Asus kit and it actually worked pretty well. I've used super sharp plates for my Stanley knife yet i can always see the cut edge. The Bezel Free Kit itself is long enough for a 32-inch monitor, but the default holder limits what it can be mounted to. With our extension kit, you simply insert the end into the Bezel Free Kit, and it will work perfectly on a 32-inch monitor. There is some distortion and it takes some additional adjustments to get right. I have very narrow bezels on my monitors anyway, so I don't think it's been that much of an impact. I don't think I could run without them now, but if I'd have seen them on another triple screen set up first I don't think I'd have bothered. Mike: But what about mini maps for example? Like in a strategy game or in something like DOTA, you rely on that minimap in the top right-hand corner to give you spatial awareness about what’s going on around you on the battlefield.

Eber: I’m going to put them on cheap 27-inch Phillips 276E9QDSB 1080p monitors, which are relatively thin, so we will see how that goes.

My interest was peaked due to this kit being from ASUS and my monitors are ASUS. While this kit does work as advertised, once installed (in about 3 minutes) it will amplify any monitor that may be a little out of adjustment...you will see that right away! So its not a clear cut better. So instead of a dark section where the bezel is where nothing is displayed, this blurs the content of each monitor to fill that space but you end up with a wider, blurrier and darker strip.
