And the other big catalog news today is that Universal has finally officially announced the long-expected 4K release of Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing on 2/2. Extras will include a new introduction by the director and over four hours of legacy features, among them a documentary, deleted and extended scenes, trailers, and audio commentary by Lee. This will be a BD100 disc, with audio will be DTS:X. There’s no mention of Dolby Vision, so expect HDR10 only. All five seasons of Babylon 5 were scanned and remastered from the original camera negative in 4K, with a colour correction and the cleaning of dirt and scratches as well. The many CGI shots of the series have been digitally upscaled to HD, and short of a complete remaster, that’s probably the best we can hope for. After years of cropped, blurry episodes, it will be a thrill to bring this series home in HD. The release will present all 110 original episodes of the American science fiction television series, created by writer and producer J.
