About this deal

We’ve had a few compact strollers over the years, starting with the Maclaren Mark II (nice but doesn’t recline), the Silvercross Jet (great for babies but wobbly with bigger toddlers) and the Babyzen Yoyo (a really good one but bumpy on uneven surfaces). So I was excited to try out the Micralite ProFold, a multi-award winning compact stroller. Micralite launched a new colour, Graphite, in October 2020 and we were sent one to review. Then we’re on to features. Again this will vary in importance depending on the type of toy you’re buying. You’ll no doubt have a view on whether you care about features or not for Prams and pushchairs.

Pricing. We’ll go into detail on the price of Micralite ProFold Pushchair in a moment but it’s worth covering in the quality chapter here too. The ProFold comes fully assembled straight out of the box, ready to go apart from popping on the belly bar if needed. The next step was to try and narrow down our search even more. So we’ve already looked the prices of products in the Prams and pushchairs category. Then we’ve also looked at the prices of products from . So this step combines the two and looks specifically at the price you’d expect to pay for branded products in the Prams and pushchairs category. So the first step is to look at the price of Micralite ProFold Pushchair. Here we run a search to find the price of products that we review. If it’s a product offered by lots of retailers then we get you the best price. If it’s only offered by one retailer then we find you the latest price. The first thing we should say before we get really into the detail on the price, is to get you to think about a budget. Budgeting is a really key part of the buying process, as without a budget you might end up blowing a lot more money than you had planned to. So take a look at your finances and get a bit of an idea of how much you are willing to spend before you take too much time shopping around. Price If the price appears to be significantly lower than you’d expect for the sort of product you’re buying, then you’d be wise to start looking in a bit more detail at other indicators of the quality. We introduced new pushchair tests in 2015, 2018 and again in 2019. This model will not be directly comparable to those tested before October 2019.

At the end of the test period, the Micralite still looked as good as new, a sign that this lightweight buggy will go the distance. Final verdict? As we mentioned earlier, the brand you choose is quite a personal thing. We each have our own views on which brands are best suited for our needs and that goes for anything we’re buying. Even toys, gadgets, games and Prams and pushchairs. Despite these design glitches, I would still recommend the Micralite ProFold and think that it has a huge amount of great features to offer. I think the price is really reasonable and you can trust that you are getting a high quality pram with style and substance. The reversible seat cover is machine-washable, washing and air drying beautifully after having been soaked with a cup of juice and smeared with mud. The seat cover is easy to remove so doesn’t pose an obstacle should you need to wash it.

Next up is the material. Take a look at what Micralite ProFold Pushchair is made from. Often you can spot the quality of the product based on the materials used to make it, with some obvious signs of a cheaper product with certain types of material. With some toys this will be more important than others. So you’ll already have a good idea of whether the material is actually a big deal or not when buying Prams and pushchairs. The lie-flat position is also great for naps for kids of any age. The Micralite ProFold One-handed fold
