About this deal

Turn the steering wheel 90 deg. You will see a clip in the top half of the steering column cover, gently push in with a screwdriver, turn steering wheel 180 deg. the other way and do the same. Top half of the steering column can now be rotated towards the dash. To remove the lower half you undo the 7mm AF bolt at the top and the torx screw at the bottom, you can just let this half hang down, without fully removing it. Basically the parrot unit sits between the original head unit wiring and the head unit itself. It then uses the power supplied to the head unit to power itself and then when you use it, it cuts the sound from the head unit and sends the sound out through the car speakers.

Then you need to make sure that you have space left on your stereo to accept your phone. Simply, this means that your stereo probably has, for example, six spaces/phones it can store at once on its memory. If people have used your stereo before you, it stands a chance that the memory is full. Therefore, you need to "debond" the existing phones from the stereos memory. Provides a Bluetooth hands free phone solution (pauses music when calls are made and received and automatically resumes music when a call is ended) Direct CD changer port connection involving no FM Modulation for high quality sound without interference.

To do this, depending on the make of your stereo, you need to play around with the phone menu. Find out how to debond and get rid of existing stored phones. I have located the grey connector near the bonnet release BUT I can't see the 2 wires from the mic. The connector is a 22 pin.

This “ How to” is for UK (RHD) Mondeo’s and some things may be on the other side of the car for European spec Mondeo’s.Now reconnect everything, be careful with the wires for the speakers / mute cable they can become loose at this point. Connect the hands free kit wires to the hands free kit. Test Phone connectivity was optional on the Focus MK2/MK2.5. This requires the optional Bluetooth/Voicecontrol system. This is a separate system that communicates with the radio over the CANbus network. Whether the car does or does not have the optional Bluetooth/Voicecontrol system can easily be determined by the radio stalk. Cars with Bluetooth/Voicecontrol do have a VOICE button on top of the radio stalk. On cars without Bluetooth/Voicecontrol the phone buttons on the radio act as mute buttons. If a Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module is connected the phone functions and menu of the radio will be active. I have always used 0000 as the pincode, and I am unaware what to do if all steps have been remedied and the pincode still fails. Hope this gets it working for you.
