About this deal

JVC includes a Double DIN mounting cage with all of its head units. Alpine does not include a mounting cage with its head units.

The Double DIN Mounting kit contains a pair of spring clips and a pair of flat plates in addition to the traditional mounting ‘cage’ and outer trim bezel for the fascia. The spring-clips are sandwiched to either side of the head unit using the flat plates. Screw fixings are supplied. The head-unit will now slide into place within the mounting cage and locate with the spring clips. See the 'Resources' section below if you need more information on how to build the DIN Cage. The outer bezel trim snaps into place around the head unit screen. Antenna cable adapter for Saab cars after 2007 that had Delphi Grundig navigation radios. This cable converts the cars existing special aerial plug to an after market DIN type used by most car radio manufacturers. Alpine doesn’t supply any form of mounting hardware for its Double DIN head units so our Double DIN mounting kit provides everything you need to install an Alpine (or any other Double DIN head-unit that doesn't come with a DIN cage) into any MUD Console.

This kit is designed to replace the metal cage kit that is usually supplied with your new aftermarket double din head-unit or navigation system. It is used along with fascias that have 103mm high hole sizes. This cage kit comes complete with fixings to attach to the new car radio body. I had fed speaker cables from the boot to the front in anticipation of replacing the door speakers and feeding them from my 4 channel amp, but I don't think that will be necessary.When the parcel arrives within your country you may be liable to pay both local VAT, import duty and admin charges. Pretty much all the connection I needed were taken care of by connecting the cables together, but I still needed ignition switched power and a connection to the handbrake light.
