About this deal

You’re able to connect an external footswitch so if in the future you begin to feel limited by the one footswitch, you can easily expand it for more control. RC-3 vs Ditto X2 Is it worth it? Maybe. Yes if you are a fan of customizing and planning all out befdore the gig. Otherwise - no. The RC 600 comes with far superior effects. So much so that if effects are what you’re after in a looper, we’d say this makes an upgrade to the 600 worth it alone.

It’s great to be able to jam along with basic loops, but there will be times when you want to take things further. Another small difference between the RC 600 and the RC 300 is that it no longer gives you an AUX input. All of which means that you’ll likely have to spend more money on adapters. Something to bear in mind.

In addition to this you can also route your audio however you wish, thanks to three stereo outputs, a USB port for integrating with your favourite software, and much more besides. Two XLR mic inputs with phantom power, two stereo line input pairs, and three stereo assignable line output pairs. BOSS created the RC-1 to compete against the incredibly popular Ditto Looper by TC Electronic ( read my review of the Ditto here). The Ditto Looper became popular thanks to the low price and easy-to-use features. In terms of weight, the RC 600 is close to double that of the RC 505 MK2. But because of that, it does feel noticeably more rugged. Touring with an RC 600 looper shouldn’t be an issue!

The stop/undo/redo functions can be controlled with an external footswitch if you need an easier way to control your loops during a live performance. BOSS RC-1 vs Ditto LooperAll of this is powered by a single Cioks DC7. I'm using the Cioks 8800 Parallel Adapter Flex with a Cioks 1050 Flex Cable Type 1 to get to the milliamps needed. Powering up, it can get to about 70% load on the milliamps, so it's perfectly safe with that. The RC-600 is the most feature-filled loop station covered in this guide. It surpasses the now-ancient RC-300 in many ways as well as introducing new features not found on any other loop station pedal. Aside from the size, the actual weight difference between these two is quite astounding. With the RC 500 being significantly smaller, it weighs in at less than 1kg! Whereas all the extra tech and functionality that’s crammed in to the RC 600 means that it weights in at about 2.4kg! Features: do you just want to be able to record simple chord progressions to jam over? Or do you want to create full songs on-the-fly for solo performances?

Whether you have a need for all of these extra inputs/outputs is up to you. The main point I’m making is that you should ignore the model number and focus on what features are important to you.The right footswitch can play fills at any time as well as fills when you want to switch it over to the second pattern (eg: switching from verse to chorus). Who is the RC-10R for? To turn it on, press MENU, press knob 1 to select INPUT, then use knobs 3 and 4 to switch between Line and Inst. Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.
