About this deal

We've improved the wheel design, providing 4-wheel suspension for a smooth ride, and added LED light compatibility for safety in low-light conditions. The Aer+ is sturdy and well-engineered, with a premium feel that sets it apart. The generous shoulder strap and foldable bumper bar makes it incredibly easy to carry the stroller wherever you go. The release of the new Joolz Aer+ stroller version is making many parents ask whether it’s worth the upgrade. What’s new? Were all the annoying features of Joolz Aer corrected? You have a choice of collapsing the buggy flat or leaving it freestanding, depending on the space you’re fitting it into. It’s ideal for small apartment living, carrying up long flights of stairs or storing in a small car. Designed to make traveling with your little one as smooth and comfortable as possible, the Aer+ provides even more features than its predecessor. Weighing only 6kg and airplane compatible, the Aer+ is the ultra-compact travel companion for all your adventures.

The Joolz Aer is a seriously stylish buggy. From the lines to the leatherette on the handlebar and bumper bar to the fabric, everything feels like premium quality. The bassinet is a great solution that very few compact travel strollers offer, so it’s a great feature to have as we all know that babies shouldn’t be stuffed in car seats outside of the car for extended periods of time. Joolz Aer Buggy BoardI know this will be the biggest question people will have about the Joolz Aer+ especially once it has been fully launched in the global market as this is one feature that is not consistent between all countries. Make sure you have the recline zipped up before folding the stroller though. While the stroller will fold reclined with no issues, a part will be hanging out and you’ll be forced to zip it up when already folded which is harder than when the stroller is unfolded. It’s not a huge deal but an extra step when you’re in a hurry. Would Joolz Aer work for siblings? Joolz finally released the footboard / buggy board with seat and people get excited that the board folds with a stroller (but it makes it way too big for the plane anyway). I still prefer the Yoyo’s board though, but it might be a personal preference.

One big difference I always see is that when strollers fold one-handed the closing mechanism is in the middle of the bar, which makes it slightly more difficult to steer with one hand vs when the bar is clear of any buttons. When I say slightly more difficult I don’t mean it’s super difficult, it’s really minor, but once you steer a stroller without the mechanism in the middle you’ll understand what I mean. Folding and Unfolding of Joolz Aer As such, the Aer coped well with alighting and disembarking the bus, managing the gap with no problem at all. It’s light in weight at only 6kg and, though it doesn’t have an integrated carry handle, it has lots of places to grab onto as well as a removable carry strap, which also makes it easy to carry up and down stairs. By reclining the seat, you also allow access to ventilated mesh around the seat, which will be perfect in the summer. The huge and extendable canopy is perfect for sunny or rainy days as it’s UV50 and also water repellent. Attractively, Joolz offers a lifetime warranty on the Aer to make sure you get even more value for your money. How comfortable is it?With a higher seat to truly last the years as your child grows and premium-feel materials, the Aer+ is both stylish and functional. And best of all, it comes pre-assembled in the box, so you can start using it right away! That said, the fabric is water-resistant and doesn’t attract stains or dirt so you’re unlikely to feel the need for a deeper clean than handwashing is able to give. However, it’s still a zipper-regulated recline that now will require stuffing even more material. Not to mention the break is in the middle which when the stroller is reclined deeper will be harder to reach. It’s also less convenient to push when the stroller is reclined more because you have to reach over it. The Joolz Aer comes straight out of the box ready to unfold and go, with no assembly needed. The box is itself a Joolz feature, with eye-catching instructions for turning it into a toy airplane for your child. A bit more of a subtle update, but still very thoughtful, the Joolz Aer+ has the mesh panel on the hood closer to the handlebar, so you can easily peek in at your little one in the stroller. The original Joolz Aer mesh was just a bit too far forward making it awkward to see through to the seat if you’re standing behind the stroller. More Durable & More Sustainable Fabrics

It’s a dream to fold and unfold one-handed in one fluid movement, which makes it particularly useful to store and to use on public transport. For comfort, the seat is generously padded, a detail buggies of a similar size often skimp on. It’s worth noting that the seat is unusually long and well-suited to a tall child. Adele found the seat had lots of space around the sides for her three-year-old, who wouldn’t outgrow it any time soon. It folds & unfolds incredibly well with one hand and the seat is sturdy and tall, plus has a ton of storage which is a huge plus for a travel stroller. This stroller came all assembled, which already made me feel relieved because you have enough to deal with as a parent. Everything is ready to go straight out of the box! Like a lot of lightweight buggies, the Aer is handwash only. To clean, you wipe the fabric with lukewarm water and soap, rinse with fresh water and then leave to dry.The basket is very spacious and it’s a huge plus for a compact stroller. I was able to put my own purse, along with two big bags of shopping in without any major issues. There’s also a bumper bar for younger babies to give added peace of mind and a carry bag for storing the pushchair when folded, a particularly useful addition when travelling.

The handlebar is covered in leatherette for the comfort of the user. It isn’t extendable, but proved a suitable height for both the taller (6’1”) and shorter (5’6”) parent in our tester’s family. Neither found they needed to compensate while pushing by bending or stooping. The shopping basket on the Joolz Aer is outstanding and it was one of the main things our tester noticed on first impression. I took it to London and it did just fine on uneven pathways and up and down the curbs. While the wheels aren’t huge it even got through the cobblestones without wobbling, just a stronger push. I wouldn’t say that it can handle cobblestones like a stroller or wagon with huge wheels, but it got through them. Firstly, there is no size or meaningful weight difference. No change to the dimensions (open or folded). The advertised weight looks like the it’s gone from 6.3kgs for the Aer to 6.4kgs for the Aer+. It’s probably rounded up to an extra 100g because all I can see that could possibly add weight would be the larger hood having a bit more fabric. So not really heavier in any meaningful way. Joolz Aer+ Newborn Recline

Cons

Its deep scoop shape ensures things won’t fall out and you can fit two small carrier bags worth of shopping in there, in addition to an average-sized changing bag. It’s also quite sturdy and feels like it could take a good weighing down. Again – it’s a refinement – not a big updated, but I love the way that Joolz as a brand do make these little changes with new models, even if only someone like me would even notice!
