About this deal

Usually, these Bibles have loads of study notes underneath the text, plus maps, diagrams, cross-references, and dozens of other helpful tools. When choosing, I would recommend using this formula (that sounds too precise, but you know what I mean): There are Bibles for men, women, college students, high-school students, kids, military members, and on and on. It’s a flabbergasting, overwhelming blessing. There are some parts of my analog system that I'm looking to change, for example the NET journal bible. I've come to the conclusion that this just isn't really the right version for me. while I love the leather cover and the style of paper is quite nice, there are a couple of aspects I don't really like.

Charles Spurgeon said, “A Bible that’s falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t.”When I first heard this quote, I nodded emphatically and vowed to be the owner of this kind of Bible. Bibles that have the designs printed in the margins are great for beginners or those who don’t feel they have the artistic talent to make their own. (Though I will always encourage you, that anyone has the talent to do their own- see THIS POST HERE for more on that.) The pre-illustrated Bibles also have a lot of blank margins as well if you are on the fence. Any general notes you want to take can be written in blue. Perhaps you want to take notes during the sermon or other teaching at your church. Maybe you’ve read a commentary alongside a portion of Scripture and you want to write down what you’ve learned. These general notes will end up being the bulk of your note taking. Orange: Word Study.Translation – this journaling Bible features the NLT translation – New Living Translation. This translation moves from Greek and Hebrew texts into modern English. It is also the revised version of the Living Bible translation.

Whereas paper can actually last surprisingly well. Just look at Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks, we still have those around. How to get started Absolutely not! There are no rules when it comes to Bible journaling. A great way to get started is to use whatever Bible you have on hand and do your journaling in a separate notebook/journal! R. Albert Mohler, Jr. of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary recommends ESV as it represents a new level of eR. Albert Mohler, Jr. of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary recommends it as it represents a new level of excellence in Bible translations. Kevin DeYoung from Christ Covenant Church says it is simply the best translation for combining accuracy, readability, and fidelity to the rich history of English Bible translations. KJV- Personal Reflections Journaling Bible Classic Single Column Journaling Bibles (Again, these are my preferred Journaling Bibles) Bottom line: If you want the best study Bible, I recommend getting an essentially literal translation.Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, a radio host of Revive Our Hearts radio, declares that the ESV is her choice and it has a wonderful translation. Types of ESV Journaling Bibles Additionally, I don’t want someone else doing the hard work of wrestling through how to apply various verses. I want to prayerfully grapple with the text, seeking God’s help to pull out the various meanings and applications. So yes, take some time to do research before you choose a study Bible. But even more importantly, obey the word of God.
