So what’s the name of that game where you throw bean bags into a hole? Cornhole! Or, you can also just call it bean bags. Either way, this is one of the best bean bag toss games around! Not only does it make everyone playing have a bit of a competitive side but who knew that tossing fabric bags filled with corn would be such an addictive and fun game? (and parents – it’s your time to challenge your kids to a game that you just might win!)

Here, place tossing boards in a straight line and apart from each other. This distance may vary from 27 feet to 45 feet. However, regulation rules state that bean bag tossing boards should place 45 feet (9 m) apart. As they're playing, ask them questions like 'which one is easiest?' or 'which one is hardest?' and ask them why they think this is. This will get them thinking and talking about things like the distance and the size or the height of the targets. However, some of these games involve beanbags. It’s not often that you see beanbags being used in games, but when they are you know there’s some great fun in store for all taking part. For example, think that two people are playing this game. So, if you toss a bean bag as a first player, then give a chance to the opponent player. Then again, take your chance and throw the bean bag. Likewise, do this until all bean bags pass to the toss board. There is Picher’s box behind the left or right side of the platform. It is a rectangular area that allows the player to toss the bean bag. The bottom of the platform or board considers the foul line.

You should place the top edge of the board 12 inches above the ground. Also, place the bottom edge 3 or 4 inches above the ground. This is a great game for lots of reasons. But, one of the main reasons is because it’s so versatile! You can have teams made up of one person or even two people. It all depends on how many are available and how many people want to play. You could try a game of ' red light, green light' with your child, which can help them with their listening and memory while letting off some steam.
