Aura’s frames have high-resolution displays for a digital frame – for which you pay a high price. You don’t want to lose quality due to extra compression. Unlike Aura’s frames, Pix-Star lets you choose which files and folders to include in slideshows, play videos and audio, start slideshows from a connected USB/SD card, and much more. In addition, it automatically updates the software when needed. My Aura Photo Frame updated already a couple of times these few days I’ve been using it, this doesn’t bother me as long as the device is workable after the update.
There is no guarantee that you will also like to go with the Mason Luxe, and you will have to try these units for yourself. After getting one of these for a grandparent for their birthday, my wife had to have one! This is probably the easiest wifi sharing frame/app that I have had experience with. I have some friends who have different ones and after setting this up, I think this is the most simple and the features are very functional and easy. The frame itself is also not that impressive, it’s a modern look which some may like but I would’ve preferred maybe a wood veneer option. My wife is a talented amateur photographer that takes pictures often, sometimes daily. Many of her pictures are stores on a tablet or pc. This picture frame will give her the ability to enjoy her pictures once they are uploaded to the device.
