About this deal

Choice of Heavy Weapon, including Heavy Bolter, Multi-Melta, Missile Launcher, Plasma Cannon, Lascannon or Grav-cannon Despite all of this, the codex still boasts the highest number of datasheets of any army – 80 core datasheets that any Space Marine army can use and 13 named characters for the various codex-compliant chapters. New Datasheets Cult Mechanicus • Collegia Titanica • Legiones Skitarii • Questor Mechanicus ( House Guard) • Centurio Ordinatus • Ordo Reductor • Legio Cybernetica • Auxilia Myrmidon • Prefecture Magisterium • Basilikon Astra • Divisio Linguistica • Explorator • Sect Missionarius Mechanicus • Collegiate Extremis • Astynomia Stratagems: These are all based around 1st Company units, and there are some good ones- Legendary Fortitude can be a nice surprise.

Vulkan and the Infernus get to ride in the Repulsor to take midboard objectives and gain angles on key targets for his Forgefather and Seeker of the Unfound special rules, the Aggressors bring the Grav Captain along in the Redeemer to ensure they can make the most on doubling up on important stratagems, and the Biologis joins the Eradicators to guarantee at least 1 of their shots gets through in a pinch with the Forged in Battle enhancement. Rules: The vehicle and Dreadnought detachment! Armoured Wrath means all your units are a bit more reliable with once-a-phase re-rolls. If the Devastator Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Tactical Doctrine is now active.A Space Marine Tactical Squad is a multi-purpose unit, capable of engaging enemy forces at range with their bolters and boltguns, or in close combat with their chainswords and power fists. They are a versatile and well-rounded unit, able to take on almost any enemy. To build a Space Marine Tactical Squad, you will need: 1x Space Marine Captain 1x Space Marine Librarian 1x Space Marine Chaplain 1x Space Marine Apothecary 1x Space Marine Techmarine 1x Space Marine Sergeant 1x Space Marine Tactical Marine 9x Space Marine Bolters 1x Space Marine Heavy Bolter 1x Space Marine Missile Launcher 1x Space Marine Flamer 1x Space Marine Plasma Gun 1x Space Marine Multi-Melta 1x Space Marine Chainsword 1x Space Marine Power Fist 1x Space Marine Boltgun The first step is to assemble your core units. The captain and librarian will provide leadership and psychic support, while the chaplain will provide motivation and Inspiring Presence. The apothecary will keep the squad alive, and the techmarine will provide maintenance and repairs. The sergeant will lead the squad in combat. The next step is to choose your squad’s equipment. The bolters and boltguns are the mainstay of the Space Marine arsenal, and will be your primary weapons. The heavy bolter and missile launcher provide additional fire support, while the flamer and plasma gun offer alternatives for dealing with enemy infantry and vehicles. The chainsword and power fist are good options for close combat, while the boltgun can be used as a secondary weapon or for close range fire support. Once you have assembled your squad and chosen their equipment, you are ready to deploy them into battle! Veteran Marines ( Sternguard Veteran • Vanguard Veteran • Veteran Intercessor • Veteran Assault Intercessor • Bladeguard Veteran) • Terminator Squad • Terminator Assault Squad The potential recruit is first subjected to testing, including tissue compatibility tests and psychological screening. Relatively few get past this initial selection process. Those that do pass are termed "neophytes", and the process continues with the surgery, indoctrination, conditioning, and training that will make them Marines.

Ultimately, though, the value of this detachment is limited by the quality of the datasheets that it’s built to support. And unfortunately, none of the veteran datasheets are particularly amazing, particularly in turns when they aren’t benefiting from the detachment rule. EnhancementsWe’ve mentioned the Lieutenant with Combi-Weapon in the datasheet changes above, and his new datasheet combined with the nerf to Oath of Moment means he’s much more likely to see the table than he was before. His ability is better and easier to use, and so you get that plus a cheap Lone Operative who no longer has to risk himself by trying to keep up with whatever he’s buffing.
