Set the motion detection threshold (from 1 to 256) using the slider. A lower value sets higher sensitivity. See motion detection percentage above of the slider as you move it. The default control protocol is Shelly Cloud plus REST API which triggers HTTP tasks. I remember this function on Shelly 1, but now you can make multiple API calls per trigger. It’s a great option to keep the device compatible with Shelly Cloud (and therefore with Alexa and Google Home) and be able to trigger Home Assistant or NodeRED. It means that you could send information about the movement to several devices at once instead of processing it on another server. All of that is probably due to the big 6500 mAh rechargeable battery that the Shelly Motion 2 is having. This battery can last up to 3 years in standby mode and up to 1 year and a half with 6 hours usage per day. It’s not just a PIR sensor. Shelly Motion comes with an array of sensors capable of measuring motion, vibration and luminosity. Thanks to these customisations, you can use this PIR sensor to trigger lights or dial it in, to work with alarm systems without running into false positives. Shelly generation 2 devices running firmware 0.12 or later can act as a Bluetooth proxy for advertisements. Active or passive listening can be enabled in the options flow. Smart Scheduling

Below the Main Controls heading, observe the current room temperature, Shelly Device battery as a percentage, and light status of the room. And when the battery is exhausted you just have to recharge it using an USB-C cable which is also something new compared to the Shelly Motion 1 that offers Micro USB port for charing. Shelly Motion2 doesn’t have a humidity sensor on board. For that, you will have to get their dedicated Shelly T&H Sensor instead. Apart from bathrooms and perhaps the kitchen, I’d be absolutely ok without that metric. Temperature is most important to me.
