About this deal

I’ve had the same exact kettle for a couple of decades at least – and yes it was old, and it was battered, and it had definitely seen better days, but it was a kettle, it’s purpose was to boil my water, and it did the job perfectly every time.

Keep an eye on the pot: Never leave a ceramic teapot unattended on the stove. Keep an eye on it while it heats up, and turn off the stove when you are done.

Stove top safe pyrex glass teapot

It is of course also a good kettle, colours aside – it’s made of enamelled steel and has a heat-safe handle, and will work with any kind of hob.

This one has a 1.9 litre capacity, and comes in two colours, so not too much choice available, but it should still match most kitchens. Also made of stainless steel, so it is fast, durable, reliable and easy to clean. Perhaps there is nothing as soothing as a pot of tea when you are stressed, tired, or want to relax. Tea culture has been in our society for a long time, and although we no longer have the ceremony attached to it, tea drinking remains a favourite pastime among most people and the teapot you drink it from, a large part of that.

The Cusinium also scores points for ease of use. It comes with helpful instructions and a handy chart that indicates the required water temperature and brewing timefor different types of tea.We tested the teapot by brewing loose-leaf earl grey tea. The flavor was excellent, according to our tester, and the filter completely removed all sediment. The FORLIFE ceramic teapot with infuser is striking and perfectly formed as well as functional! It has a 530 ml capacity, sufficient for one or two cups of tea, but you will need a larger teapot if you regularly need to make more cups in one sitting.

Gaiwans have been a common tea-making instrument in China for hundreds of years and are a staple of Gong Fu brewing—a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. According to Shunan Teng, founder and CEO of Tea Drunk, a gaiwan has "become a symbol of the highest quality of tea brewing, even though in China it's quite commonplace." She added that it offers people more control over their tea than a teapot does.If you are looking at a small teapot, it is still important to ensure that the capacity is big enough for the size mug you like to drink from, or if you want to drink a couple of mugs from one pot that it can cater for this. Keep in mind that it may take some time to get comfortable with a gaiwan if you haven't used one before. A little skill and practice is required to secure the lid and hold the edges without burning your hand on the hot porcelain. Once you've got the technique down, however, the Harney & Sons gaiwan will lead to fast and delicious tea.

Ceramic teapots tend to be less focused on brewing loose leaf tea but can include a built-in filter or be used with a tea strain if you are a fan of loose tea. Glass Teapots One option is to use a tea warmer. This small heating device is designed specifically for keeping tea warm. The teapot is placed on top of the warmer, providing gentle and consistent heat to keep the tea at the desired temperature. When you're done drinking your tea, all parts are dishwasher safe. Pouring is smooth despite the item's short spout. The plastic handle is surprisingly sturdy as well. On average, a teapot over 30 ounces is big enough to cater to around 4-6 people, so choose one according to your requirements. Material It comes in at 1.8 litres, so you can just put together some iced tea, or a nice portion of iced water with mint and lemon and keep it on the dinner table during meals.
