In late 2019, Haxby Group, which manages 11 GP surgeries, became the first in the UK to switch over to the Klinik Access online system. Patients can now use a simple online assessment tool to help streamline patient flow and receive the most appropriate care. It helps medical practices to put everything involved with running a private practice into one secure and automated place and is the cost effective practice management solution out there. In Finland nurses make the first patient assessment. They then agree with the patient if they need to see a doctor. Patients still have a lot of influence over how they are seen, but they are more used to being told how they will be seen.Klinik offers a unique possibility to create bespoke pathways and workflows that will allow you to streamline as efficiently as possible to the right point of care. It will give your team greater control of how you receive patient queries and split workload already at the first step. Practice management software (sometimes called a clinic management system) does the hard work for you. Cloud-based software is extremely secure and it is now the preferred software model of pretty much all major software vendors, including Microsoft 365. It marks a shift to effective online access to our services as we become a ‘digital first’ practice, and, Klinik’s Total Triage System can be configured for seamless deployment into primary care, A&E and urgent treatment centres.

We take a look at some GP practices that are embracing new approaches to online triage as part of their journey towards offering a digital-first primary care service. In addition to our in-practice GPs, we also have 169 appointments every week with our GP colleagues at PushDoctor.
