About this deal

In terms of aesthetics the headphones are fairly functional, but they're by no means ugly – you can tell that plenty of care and attention has gone into the design. We're pleased that the mic is detachable – even if it does leave a rather odd-looking connector visible when it's not connected. The headset weighs in at a respectable 309g, so there's no chance of it feeling like a burden on your head. In 2020, Sennheiser and Demant ended the joint venture and the business segments evolved in new set-ups: EPOS and Sennheiser. All company assets such as technical know-how, engineering expertise, and employees were transferred to the Demant Group and the EPOS brand was launched. With more than 115 years of audio expertise, EPOS designs and manufactures pioneering high-end audio for serious gamers. That said, there are a couple things to consider about the H6Pro's sound. The bass here is heavy. The low-end isn't extremely overpowering, but it's more than I'm accustomed to with my headset daily drivers (currently alternating between Sennheisser's Momentum 3 and Anker's excellent Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro earbuds). The price versus audio quality trade-off is just about right, and we think that when you clamp the headphones over your ears and start listening to something, you'll consider your money well spent. Bass response is particularly good, and actually might be a bit much for some people – if you want to tweak it, you'll need to use a third-party app, because the EPOS H6Pro Open doesn't come with customisation options of its own.

From there, utter simplicity takes hold. There are exactly zero buttons on the H6PRO and instead any connection with the online world is delivered from an elongated boom mic that swings up and down whenever it is required, muting and placed neatly out of the way over the left cup. There’s only a teeny bit of flex in this mic too, but the length that EPOS have put in ensures that it’s pretty much always in a prime position for party and game chat. The Closed headset faired better here, and I preferred it mostly because I didn’t need to have it on full volume to catch everything. This is an exceptionally light model for the spec - just 322g. As such, it’s not carrying the timber most high-end headsets do. You’ll find no needless brushed steel accents here. Just lightweight plastics and soft cloth cushions around an aluminium band. Neat features like the detachable mic and its swappable magnetised cover do impress, and this is good wireless headset money. It sounds just as good to. With a company coming with the rich audio history that EPOS has, you’d expect nothing less than a stellar performance in terms of the sounds, and the H6PRO has that in abundance. If you are connecting the headset to your PC using the Mic and Headphone inputs, your PC may recognize the headset as a pair of speakers, meaning that it is not recognized as its own device. This isn’t necessarily an issue, but if you have desktop speakers connected to your PC via an AUX cable, you cannot switch between the two without unplugging one. Convenient and intuitive volume control via a large "finger-friendly" volume wheel on the right ear cup

La spatialisation est très bonne, on distingue très bien le positionnement et l'espace ressenti est très large, on ne se sent pas dans une bulle. The headset is compatible with the EPOS gaming suite software , but the headset has to be recognized as its own device to be able to use this. From EPOS, the gaming suite is a set of “intuitive tools giving you the ability to take control of your audio experience and tailor game sound and communication to your exact preferences.” This lets you customize your audio both for in-game and in general, and EPOS even has presets designed for various game genres. Plus, this doesn’t scream ‘gamer headset’ – unlike the Logitech G733. The design is mature and the metal material gives this headset a bit of weight; I wouldn’t expect this headset to break for a long time. What this means is that, as long as I’m in party chat on a PS4/5, I can separate chat from in-game sounds. This also works if I empathize in-game chat over my party. But this effect stops working when I leave a party. On my Xbox One and Xbox Series X though, the mixer controls all chat. No matter where I am or what game I’m playing, I’m able to tweak what sounds are heard. All of this would be negated if the H6Pro had exterior functions that could adjust these settings by itself. Tested on League of Legends and noticed improved clarity of champion sound effects that we haven't heard before using our previous headset by another popular gaming brand. In addition to a lighter, more comfortable feel than its predecessors, the H6PRO has no batteries, no latency, perfect balance, and improved durability. All of this combined means more focus on the game and less fatigue and unnecessary distraction.

They come with a USB-C dongle, allowing you to plug them into your Nintendo Switch and PS5, as well as a cable that will allow you to plug the dongle into a PS4, for example. On top of that, they also support Bluetooth, so you can sync them with any device that supports it. These earbuds boast the sort of audio quality you’d expect from the team at EPOS, whose hardware is on our top gaming headsets list, with deep bass, rich mid-tones, and fantastic directional audio making them as impressive playing games on your Switch or PS5 as they are listening to your favourite tunes through your phone. Plus, a charging case comes with the GTW 70 Hybrid that can give the earbuds up to a total of 20 hours of battery life. I like the look and feel of the Epos H6Pro headset a lot. Despite its mostly plastic shell, it feels like a solid, quality headset, and it stayed snug on my medium-sized head for hours at a time while remaining comfortable. The H6Pro sounds great too, if you are OK with a bit of extra low-end thump. Just know that the max volume might not be enough if you like things really loud. And if you want to adjust the EQ at all, you'll need to bring your own software.Being able to hear and be heard are the two of the most important features of any headset. And while none of Epos’s headsets have landed on our Best Gaming Headset list, they’re known to excel in this regard. That’s certainly the case with the company’s solidly built H6Pro, a wired headset that’s only hindered by an uncomfortable fit. Epos H6Pro – Design and Features The demand for better images, better sound, and better connectivity has led to some magnificent gaming visuals, musical scores, and interactive technology. (Side note: we have clients that have gaming scores on their high-res playlists and even on vinyl... and they sound amazing on their home systems). With the precision detail that goes into the design of the game, the epic storytelling itself, and the consoles and customized PCs acting as the vessels, that same level of attention has been met by brands like EPOS to deliver that experience in a way that blurs the lines between game and reality so that every detail of the game can be experienced and enjoyed without compromise. Who is EPOS?

Maybe I received a bad copy, but, I did have to return these for this reason - 1 star removal for this. It just got very uncomfortable when trying to compensate for the volume and made the audio experience seem cheaper than the asking price of this item. Aesthetics: this is obviously not as important for some but I want my headset to look good. The design is amazing and was the first thing to attract my attention.Take a glance at the specs list for the EPOS H6Pro Open, and you'll see mentions of 42mm drivers, and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. You don't have to spend long looking to find headphones with larger drivers inside them, but the EPOS H6Pro Open does a more than respectable job at producing an immersive soundscape, one where small details are well rendered and louder noises retain their detail and sharpness.
