About this deal

The 414 was built using parts from other 400-series aircraft. The fuselage and tail were essentially the same as the ones used on the 421B, while the wings were taken from the 401. Power was supplied by two horizontally opposed, six-cylinder, direct-drive, turbocharged, air-cooled, fuel-injected Continental TSIO-520-Js which produced 310 hp (228 kW). The mic also rolls out some frequencies around 6kHz and 7kHz, which can create a positive effect by reducing any sibilance effect. Eight aircraft factors influence 414 resale plus many other economic factors. The aircraft factors are: Though its Continental engines could maintain their rated power at higher altitudes, Cessna implemented manifold pressure limitations above 20,000 ft (6,096 m) to prevent excessive engine temperatures.

In 1973, an updated 414 was released with major changes, this model was named the 414II. The length of the cabin was increased by 16 inches (40.64 cm), an extra window was installed, electronic propeller synchrophasing was made standard, and various ARC 400-series avionics equipment was included.

An examination of the frequency response of the mic shows it to be nominally flat up to 2kHz, above which there is a slight ripple, followed by a presence peak of around 3dB at 7kHz. The response rolls off slowly above 10kHz and below 100Hz and there is very little difference in the response curves between the cardioid and hypercardioid settings. Hi, do you have microphones that can sense from 0.1 to 1MHz calibrated pressure fields? Best regards The sound is highly detailed and stresses immensely on clarity. If you work with highly textured and detailed instruments, you need to go for these microphones.

The older 414s are known as the short-bodied models. Then in 1976, Cessna upgraded the engines to the newer -N series TSIO-520 offering a higher manifold pressure at 2700rpm, allowing the engines to maintain rated horsepower to 20,000 feet. In the mid ’80s, AKG brought out the C414B-ULS (Ultra Linear Series), which featured an electronics redesign that lowered the noise floor. Later that decade, the transformer was removed from the C414 and replaced with an electronic balancing circuit, giving the microphone a slightly higher SPL handling capability.
