About this deal

There’s also a large amount of exposed gearing and connection points. Not really a “minus” from this angle, as seeing the gearing for the lift-arms spin is kind of mesmerizing. My comments above could be construed as “bashing” but I don’t mean them to be. I’m pretty much embracing PU, having already bought a few of these sets. Pointing out shortcomings is an effort to suggest improvements." This is definitely a model that benefits from a video review, so I will again direct you to Sariel's:

LEGO® Technic building kits are ideal for kids who love to build and are ready for a new challenge. With a range of fun buildable toys, the LEGO Technic universe is loved by kids and adults alike. If both of the above apply the notional transfer is simply A + B, i.e. the original value of the relevant property gifted to the trustees by the settlor. Charges prior to 18 November 2015 reduce the rate in proportion to time that has already passed in the 10-year cycle (for example if half way through then reduce the initial rate by half)

Specifications

With my modded 42099, having the same motor arrangement but lower gears, a higher ride height on the front, increased wheelbase and cargo bed I can climb nearly 50° slopes unloaded, or up to 30° slopes with about 2 kg (4.4 pounds) of evenly distributed weight. I like the use of the very high precision angular motor, but then you have a massive turning circle? I assume the front wheels don't turn, which is the only way to have a tighter turning circle. Just wonder if the usual PU motor from last years vehicles could have done the same function using a lot less space, but maybe Lego were tired of people having problems with app calibration. I wouldn't worry too much about getting the 42099 set. Price per piece is indeed not that great, but you need to factor design and capability. You get two XL motors for drive and one L motor for steering. So that's double the drive power compared to this set and a beefy steering motor too. If you switch some of the gear wheels the 42099 can become very good on and off road, but a bit slower. You also get the turntable which some may not like but I think it's a clever solution for extra articulation.

All in all this looks like a good set. I just wish I would have been faster. Perhaps two XL motors with a gearing up before going to the gearbox...It's a huge, imposing and impressive model that introduces a first for Technic: a motorised automatic gearbox, which works rather well...

The next step is to establish the amount of the nil rate band that is available. Step 2: the nil rate band available (NRBA) The front frame is quite an interesting story. I was concerned that the long section itself would bend. It turned out, however, that the biggest problem is that the frame is firmly attached to the rear part. Finally, the entire cabin, including the roof, stabilizes the entire vehicle, which is very long (67 cm). If the charge arose in the three months before the first 10-year anniversary, then the rate would be 2.1% x 39/40 = 2.048%. The rate of Inheritance Tax (IHT) on the amount subject to charge on a proportionate charge in the first 10 years of the trust is based on the effective rate of tax on a hypothetical lifetime transfer.

Operation

The fraction is a relief that reflects the amount of time that has passed since the start of the trust and for this purpose the 10-year cycle is divided into 40 quarter years. There is one thing not related to the model that is bugging me quite a lot, and this comment section is a prime example of it: PU App-bashing."

The appropriate fraction is one 40th of the number of complete quarter years from the start of the trust to the date of charge. Follow the process set out in the table below. When calculating percentages round up to 3 percentage points (decimal places), e.g. 3.756%.seperate controller: there is really no point as that hardware would essentially be... a smart device! Or potentially worse, if they e.g. dumb it down too much to make it „simple“: you would be left with something that could only control what was available when it was made, leaving future PU components out in the cold.
