All other treatments in this slot, besides the confetti foil cards, will appear in traditional foil. More concerning than the first issue, it seems that rares and mythics can only appear in the 1st Wildcard slot; the 2nd Wildcard slot can only ever be a common or uncommon.

During Wilds of Eldraine design, we created 10 uncommon and 5 rare cards that we intended to use in Jumpstart Boosters. While we won't be releasing Jumpstart Boosters with Wilds of Eldraine, we decided to include these delightful designs as a one-time transition even though we didn't end up using them in Jumpstart Boosters. Exclusive Jumpstart cards will be legal in Standard, Pioneer, Modern, and anywhere cards in the Wilds of Eldraine main set will be legal. Set Boosters contain regular versions of these 15 cards found, on occasion, in non-foil in the 2 wildcard slots or in traditional foil in the foil slot. Magic The Gathering: Wilds of Eldraine promises not merely a game but an immersive experience, a chance to step beyond the familiar and into the fabled unknown. This release stirs the curiosity, fuels the imagination, and seduces with a blend of danger and drama, inviting you to take the reins of power and destiny. There’s a lot more to Magic, but that’s out of the scope of this article. Suffice to say there are good reasons it’s such a hugely popular phenomenon, and one of them is the tactical depth and excitement of card by card play, with the advantage swinging from one player to the other until someone makes the final, fatal breakthrough. The question is: what novel ideas does Wilds of Eldraine bring to the game? Wilds of Eldraine Enchanting Tales (WOT): Historic plus individual cards may be used for the respective formats in which they are legal. For example, the Wildcard pool has 124 rares and 65 mythics. The probability of any rare being pulled is not 1/189 but 1/124 multiplied by the rare-pool weighting of 6/7. Similarly, the chance of any one mythic being pulled is 1/65 * 1/7. With that in mind, we can weight all the rares and mythics appropriately to get an expected value of 1.411. Commander Party events are available to all WPN stores, and this time your players will immerse themselves in a storybook that provides the table with unique rules to implement during their Commander game.

The Lotus Petal Promo

The non-foil cards here are rares and mythic rares from Wilds of Eldraine or new-to- Magic Wilds of Eldraine Commander cards. Today, we'll review the suite of events for the Wilds of Eldraine season, plus the promos you'll have on hand to support each. Prerelease (September 1 – 7) 30th Anniversary Promos Open House is replacing Launch Party for Wilds of Eldraine, which is a perfect opportunity for new-to- Magic players to visit your store and learn the ropes of Magic in a friendly social environment. Plus, you can encourage the engaged players in your community to bring in their friends and family and teach them to play. You may even find engaged players interested in becoming a mentor for other new players at your store. Together with the new effects, cards like this promise lots of new play options. The End lets you exile all copies of a named card from your opponent’s entire setup, which is a frankly terrifying way to get rid of win conditions and leading into some weird endgames. Several cards from the set are a part of one of the more popular and powerful meta archetypes at the moment, Golgari Midrange. At the same time, these cards aren’t as game-changingly potent as those from its predecessor, Throne of Eldraine. It’s a good balance. One great opportunity to break out these promos is the Open House event, in addition to the Open House promo.

Wilds of Eldraine Set Boosters each contain a special art card, a tribute to the amazing artwork that brings Magic sets to life. Each Set Booster will contain one of these art cards, a special card that displays the artwork of a card from Wilds of Eldraine. These cards don't represent their set counterparts. Instead, they're meant to fully display the artwork from the cards. We're sending WPN stores a Lotus Petal promo card that you can begin passing out to your community starting the weekend of September 22. Handing out the promo to your community is easy: all your players have to do is show up and play in one event at your store. Then, you can distribute one Lotus Petal promo to each player, while supplies last. Use the Lotus Petal to highlight your Friday Night Magic events, your Commander Nights, or even entice your community to bring their friends and family to a new player event at your store!The first thing we can do with this list is discount most of the slots as being worthless. Basic Lands (of any treatment), Commons, Uncommons, and even foil-stamped Art Cards have negligible value on average. This leaves us with: Slots 1, 2, 3, 4, and both Wildcards to consider. And the answer, on the whole, is very well. There are a lot of powerful cards here with great utility regardless of their fae stylings. Moonshaker Cavalry is a game-ending flying creature that gives all your other creatures flying, too, and a buff based on the number you control. Asinine Antics puts the curse effect on all opposing creatures, reducing them to 1/1 stats, making for an easy board wipe.
