About this deal

Garrett and Hannah: imagine this Hannah needs to find time when Garrett isn't angry to tell she thinks she is pregnant.. Now, I’m not a total bitch. Usually I’ll give guys a five-minute window. I can forgive five minutes of tardiness.

The Dare Briar U, Book 4 Get ready for another binge-worthy romance from New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy! I'm gonna make a list of them and halfway through I realized it just turned into a rant I'm sorry... Once the touching begins, and the teasing still is at play for the "fake" portion of the relationship, Brenna and Jake learn that their "relationship" is one that they have never been able to feel or understand with their previous partners. This one of a kind relationship is what makes Jake crave her touch and her affection and attention towards him, and it is also the one thing that makes Brenna question what she is doing due to her past relationship with a former boyfriend from were she is originally from. Her past is always there to haunt her, asking and chasing her for the bad, and thankfully Jake and her father are there to prevent any sort of emotional damage from happening. Jake knows that this protective side he suddenly has towards her is due to the affection he slowly begins to have towards Brenna;

Overall, I enjoyed The Riskby Elle Kennedy. It was a great romance that just made me smile, while I wished for more ompf, I would also read it again. The Riskexplores the notion of family, friendship and letting go. It’s about finding a balance and the fact that sometimes, you will fall for the person that you less expect and it’s about to get heated. As Jake and Brenna begin to spend time together, they are both surprised to find that they actually enjoy each other’s company. It’s obvious that there is something there, something worth exploring. Their bond grows stronger, trust is beginning to form, and Jake proves to Brenna the sort of man he really is, a man that can be there for her when she needs him. Secrets are shared, and real feelings come in to play. But is it enough? Their teams are rivals. Their friends are enemies. And Jake is graduating and moving away. Brenna has one year left. The tiny shout out to Ryan Wesley was a surprise and put a big grin on my face. I love the Him/Us series!

Can I get you another coffee, hon?” The waitress, a curly-haired woman in a white-and-blue polyester uniform, eyes me sympathetically. She looks to be in her late twenties. Her nametag reads “Stacy,” and I’m pretty sure she knows I’ve been ditched. Wanna dance?” he then asks, leaning toward my chest like he’s speaking into the box at a fast food drive-thru. The Legacy is not what I have in mind when I think of an epilogue novel(las). If you decide to write additional novella for each couple, then I expect a lot of domestic fluff and not fights about important milestones like marriage, pregnancy, kids etc. These kind of conflicts can be handled in each couple's full lenght novel. I really expected more happy scenes between each couple and instead we got some heavy stuff and unnecessary fights & drama. No matter how good I look in a suit, though, I still feel like they can smell it on me. The stench of poverty. Also, it really bothered me how she used Logan and Garrett's very fake and rumored romantic relationship as a joke between the girls. What Grace said didn't sit right with me, it came out kinda fetishized.I love Jake Connelly so freaking much but him scoring more than Garrett is completely unbelievable, sorry my boy! And you know what's even more annoying? Being constantly told that Taylor was fat and in the next sentence, she's described as a Marilyn Monroe lookalike and describes her weight as somewhere between Ashley Graham and Kate Upton. Which is just what happens between Conor and Taylor. All it takes is a bet and a fake relationship that turns into a chance at something real. The Risk is book two in the Briar U series by Elle Kennedy. We first met Brenna in the first book as she and Summer met and became close friends. I really liked her in that book but I love her in this one. She’s tough, snarky, and determined to succeed.

But whatever. It is what is. That’s my attitude about most things. Can’t change the past, don’t cry over the present, don’t stress about the future. It’s all pointless, especially regret.’ this was so bad. this was not it. garrett would never say that shit to hannah like wtf?? the garrett in ”the deal” would not compare her to his dad who abused him. thats so wrong and now im just ugh. im pissed and just wtfGarrett and Hannah's novella (★) — This is where I say I'm somehow surprised. hannahgarrett is probably Elle's favorite couple so I thought they would at least be spared. Wrong. At this point I can also confess that the novels in Briar U so far are my most favorite of all Elle Kennedy books, besides Him & US of course. I’m not even sure college experiences as well as sorority and frat houses are anything like what this book portrays anymore. Maybe to some extent. In any case, I think I’ve outgrown high school/college romances. Gimme the real deal cause this ain’t it! Jake’s body is incredibly appealing. Long legs, muscular arms, sculpted chest. I’ve never seen him without a shirt, and I find myself wondering what his chest looks like when it’s bare. Ripped, I assume. But is it hairy? Smooth like a baby’s bottom? My traitorous fingertips tingle with the urge to find out.”
