About this deal

The two meet in a hostel in Spain and are instantly smitten. Their journey has some ups and downs and the city boy and farm girl storyline is one we all know. Oh, man, this book and I don’t mean that in a good way. I started this book so many times and kept stopping after three chapters or so. I was seriously considering DNFing the book because of the Christopher Miles’ le Christopher is very selfish when it comes to Hayden. That’s it. In every sex scene it’s more heavily focused on Christopher’s pleasure. First time, make up, etc, there’s very little attention on pleasuring Hayden and much of the attention is put on making sure Christopher is satisfied. If I’m reading a smutty novel I’d at least like to read about the man putting in effort There were soo many scenes that I was LOL so loud. I could not get enough of this book. I am so sad this series is over, but this book was the way to end it. Then there’s Hayden, she and Chris have that whole enemies to lovers vibe going for them until they don’t. And then they fall in love. Which is hot. Christopher is a hot lover. HOT.

Unfortunately I was rather let down while reading this book. Here are my three biggest issues with this book:

A Note From the Publisher

Feeling empty and searching for a deeper meaning in life, spoiled rich boy Christopher Miles decides to take a year away from his CEO lifestyle to travel around the world. Wow what a book! Just finished and I have to say that this was probably my favorite in the series. I laughed, I cried, all the emotions. Get ready to pull an all nighter because you will not want to put this book down!

This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. Christopher and Hayden experienced so much personal growth but we’re still flawed and relatable (you know except for one being a billionaire). I loved them, I was infuriated by them, I laughed and I cried. once again, TL Swan has brought us a new swoony billionaire to fall for 😍 This was book four in the miles high club and follows the youngest brother, Christopher. When my alarm went off on Valentine’s Day, I was smiling. To start with, I actually had a boyfriend, and he wasn’t just a meh boyfriend, either. Josh was smart and handsome and arguably the most likely student at Hazelwood High to succeed in a big way. Every time we studied together and he put on his Ivy League tortoiseshell glasses, I swore that my heart actually folded over on itself, causing the sweet pinching feeling that shot warmth through each and every one of my nerve endings. I love Christopher. Like with a passion. Him and Hayden 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼are just something else, in the best way!!! My only wish for this book is that we had an epilogue right now. I know one is coming and I can’t wait. But right now I’m left missing a little glimpse of their future and I can’t let it go. I’m too attached to these characters.I had a hard time with the mc's personal growth and his tantrums, the end felt a bit rushed in terms of his character development, like I kept waiting for more. Of course this would not be a true TL Swan book without some hilarious anecdotes from the Miles brothers along with some special guest appearances which I was SO here for. I was heartbroken for this series to be ending, but then Tee decides to give the people what we cant and publish Miles Ever After, a book of extended epilogues for each of the 4 Miles brothers on Valentines Day 2023!

Basic synopsis is that Billy and Jenna were high school sweethearts, had a bit of an oops baby, got married, Billy went pro for baseball, they had another baby and then the pressure of Billy's career got to be too much so they divorced and are now awesome co-parents. (Run on sentence much?) Now the kids are older, Billy's figuring out his career and Jenna is a bit more confident in herself. Billy has the opportunity to play in Japan which means a big change for their family but first he has to prove his family values as his past as Billy "Club" has put a mar on his reputation. Enter Jenna who is all for helping Billy and his career and maybe getting some space from the man who is still "the one" for her. But as the two spend more time together without the kids to up Billy's image, they learn a lot more about the mature versions of themselves and what feelings are still there for both. Enter a bit of drama (I won't spoil this) but things really come to a decision making point for Jenna in what she can handle and what she won't.

And even though Christopher is cultured and well-traveled, no one could prepare him for his most recent destination: the friend zone. Another thing I really enjoyed about The Do-Over is Emelies confessions. Each chapter was headlined with one and we even got to know a few more during DONC. I honestly would read a whole book with just these confessions. I will now be re-reading all the Miles brothers books and listening them on audio until Valentines Day. You know how when you are getting to the end of a book and you don’t want it to end but then you want to know how it ends. This book had me stalling to finish it because I didn’t want it to be over.
