The SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD V2 is SanDisk's flagship portable SSD, boasting read/write speeds up to 2000MB/s - that's nearly twice as fast as the non-Pro version (some retailers aren't using the 'V2' designation though, so look out for the 2000MB/s performance rating to ensure you're getting the right SSD version). This is not SanDisk's top-of-the-range portable SSD - that honour currently goes to the Extreme Pro Portable SSD V2 (above), but this cheaper non-Pro version is still very fast, and appreciable cheaper too. The Extreme Portable SSD comes pre-formatted as an exFAT device which means that it can work on Windows and Mac out of the box. Reformattingit to NTFS will limit compatibility to Windows but will enable TRIM which will improve the longevity of the drive.

Hier verstehe ich den Nutzen nicht wirklich. Mir ist NICHT wichtig wie schnell eine Festplatte arbeiten KÖNNTE, sondern wie schnell sie an meinen Geräten arbeitet. Ich habe einen 4,7GB großen Ordner vom Tablet (iPad Air 5) auf die Platte übertragen und dies in ca. 10 Sekunden. Kompakte Größe: Die SSD von SanDisk ist wirklich klein und handlich. Sie passt problemlos in die Tasche, was sie zu einer hervorragenden Wahl für Menschen macht, die unterwegs sind und einen zuverlässigen Speicherplatz benötigen. Die kompakte Größe ermöglicht es, sie überallhin mitzunehmen, ohne viel Platz einzunehmen. Trotz der vorher bekannten Maße der SanDisk SSD war ich überrascht wie klein die Platte ist, wenn man diese in der Hand hält. Also Kabel an die Platte, an den Mac angeschlossen. Die Platte wurde sofort erkannt und zunächst passend formatiert. Anschließend wurden alle Geräte, welche ich eventuell nutzen möchte ausprobiert (2 Android Tablets & 1 Android Smartphone, Laptop, Mac und iPad). Die Festplatte wurde auf allen Geräten sofort erkannt und Daten konnten übertragen werden. There’s not much competition in this price range. The Samsung T5, which costs marginally less and is far more portable, is the only rival that is widely available. It is not IP-rated, though, and its metallic surface is likely to get scratched easily.
