The player with the lowest card takes the disaster card. Then all players move their dinosaur along their ‘escape route’ by the number of disaster cards they have. In Llamas Unleashed, players need to build their fields with diversified animals like rams, goats, alpacas, and llamas before their opponents. Of course, that’s not as easy as it sounds. As you inch closer to your magical win, your opponents are simultaneously trying to destroy your chances of winning in both games. You’ll find similar upgrade, downgrade, and magical cards as you would in Unicorns Unleashed that will really shake things up. Magic cards have one-time effects. When you play a Magic card, it immediately takes effect and is then discarded. Spicy Uno is a card game with wild cards, reverse cards, and many actions such as trading and asking for help. Spicy Uno is less challenging than Llamas Unleashed and could make a great party game if you like the concept of a big group card game with lots of variants.

But also, and you’ll see this in the photo below, is that the puns are strong with this one. When you’re holding cards with names such as Spit Happens and Alpacalypse it’s impossible not to raise a smile when you first see them, and it’s a humour that carries through into the experience of playing – the chances of playing this without a lot of laughter and fun is pretty slim.Runes & Regulationsis another game from the makers of Unstable Unicorns. Much like Unstable Unicorns, 2-4 players in Runes & Regulations race to get five mythical creatures on their lawn first. Once again, you’ll need to work hard to defend your herd and stop your opponents from growing theirs. The main difference between games is herd size and the outright duels as opposed to downgrades or pulling the neigh card. Yes. As long as Legal Ramifications is in your Field and you have 3 or more Animals in your Field, you will be able to use the Ram Herd Bonus. Downgrade cards impose negative effects. You can play a Downgrade card in any player's Field. A Downgrade card in your Field affects only your Field (unless otherwise stated). So for you and a couple of friends Llamas Unleashed could very easily provide you with some great fun for a few games. It’s unlikely you’ll fill a whole evening with this one game alone, but I’m not sure that’s really the point. You also won’t really get the most out of the game if you’re playing it as a 2 player game; that might be enough to put some people off, but while it does work like that it’s just not as fun and frantic as, say, 4 of you playing against each other. But, again, that’s not what this game is for. This is for a group who want a laugh and a chance to engross themselves in something so utterly ridiculous that you forget all of the other rubbish that’s going on in the world.

There’s further strategy when you start to see how collecting three of the same kind of animal gives a “herd bonus” giving additional power to your cards and letting you nudge closer to victory – that is, unless someone else has got something lined up to bring it all crashing down around you. Still, you won’t know until those rams start doing their stuff… Animal Card – These cards are to be saved and played into your Field. Animal cards can be Baby, Basic, and Magic and will be either Llamas, Alpacas, Goats, or Rams. When you have 3 of the same animal type in your Field, you can use the Herd Bonus.

The object is to get 7 animals in the Field when playing with 2 to 5 players. This changes to 6 animals in the Field if playing with 6 to 8 players.
