About this deal

Many players like the FRFR108, but some say they're "boomy". If you go this way, get them off the floor with a pair of short PA speaker stands. The FRFR-108 is convenient to move and would fit perfectly into the setup of most musicians. It gives the guitar player a clean, balanced, and well-projected tone. Headrush 108 and 112 both have high output power, peaking at 2000 watts. They provide clarity and enough headroom for every situation with this ultimate power.

So, when some sales person says "Get this, it's FRFR! You NEED that with a modeler!" you immediately know that they're at best FOS. The HeadRush FRFR-112 just like the FRFR-108 is a lightweight 2000-watt full-range, flat-response powered cabinet that perfectly complements your HeadRush Pedalboard, Gigboard, or any other multi-FX/amp modeller. As far as the difference between the Alto and the HR, there is a Youtube video where someone compares the two. In all honesty I could not hear a major difference between the two (if at all). Might be my ears though ..... Yes, yes, EQ, blah blah. Guitar amps sound like guitar amps because guitar speakers start to attenuate the hi frequencies around 5k. It's a gradual attenuation, but there's not much being reproduced above 10-12k. Since most adults can't hear much above 15k anyway, what's the point of having a hi-frequency driver to bring the range up to 20khz? Unless you LIKE fizzy overdrive sounds?

The build quality is above what I expected for the price, and I have these not in my studio, but in the living room sat under the TV shelf! They are just about the same size as a pair of domestic Hi-Fi speakers and look sweet. I believe you can remove the Headrush logo from the front grille, but I'm OK with it. Specially-voiced 8-inch woofer and high-frequency compression driver deliver a precise full response across the entire frequency range without any artificial colouration It might lose a bit of clarity at very high volumes, but then again, it is made for rooms and small venues, not big crowds. TheHeadRush FRFR-108 is the latest addition to their speaker range. Amore compact version of the FRFR-112, this speaker isnot only more portable, but italso makes it one of the most affordable FRFR cabs on the market!

The HeadRush FRFR-108 is a 2000-watt full-range, flat-response powered cabinet that complements multi-FX/amp modeller pedals like Headrush Pedalboard, Gigboard and Line 6 Helix processors. 2000W Full-Range, Flat-Response Powered Guitar Cabinet Hear your rigs as they were always meant to be heard! The HeadRush FRFR-108 features a specially-voiced 8-inch woofer and high-frequency compression driver that deliver a clear, concise and sonically-true full response across the entire frequency range, without any nuisance artificial colouration. Thanks to a conveniently located Contour EQ switch, the FRFR-108 guarantees to cut through muddy sounding stage mixes for perfect monitoring every time! High Output Power Specially-voiced 8-inch woofer and highfrequency compression driver deliver a precise, flat response across the entire frequency range without any artificial colouration I work with an 11-piece band (Austin Party Band) that I fit into a 16x12 stage, and the bass and guitar stood behind the (2) keyboards (Stage left and right) next to the drum kit, and had difficulty with getting a good monitor mix, so I bought the HeadRush specifically for them. I got a Headrush 108 FRFR -- It's great for rehearsals, everything is right there, but still doesn't feel "traditional". It's so powerful that I've used it for bass, and it's always in the the trunk of my car. However.... It's boomy, which can be compensated by putting it on a stand, also very directional, just like your wedge monitor. You can be in a situation where one second it's loud, and then you walk away and don't hear anything.
