About this deal

The room is silent. Hannah shakes her head in disbelief. She opens her mouth a couple of times to speak, but then shuts it. Finding Perfect by Colleen Hoover is a touching and introspective novel that delves into the complexities of self-acceptance, personal growth, and the pursuit of perfection. With her signature blend of emotional depth and compelling storytelling, Hoover crafts a relatable narrative that resonates with readers. In this blog post, we will explore the various aspects of Finding Perfect, including the characters, writing style, themes, and more. What about the characters? I nod, but I don’t go into detail with Hannah about the fact that Six and I haven’t had sex since we’ve officially been a couple. That’s no one’s business but ours. You wouldn’t.” I hate those meetings. They always seem to be an intervention for me and my behavior, when they’re supposed to be about the entire family.

Paige Westfield is perfect. She’s the perfect daughter and perfect student. She’s 4th in her class and has her sights set on Stanford. Then she gets a D on her calculus test after getting C’s on previous tests and papers. Her perfect life alowly starts to unravel and the stress of being “Perfect Paige” starts to weigh very heavily on her. You need to go somewhere,” he says. “You’ve been playing video games for twelve hours. It’s starting to smell like a waffle cone in here.” My shoulders are sagging and I’m in the midst of feeling really sorry for myself, so I sigh dramatically. “Everything.”Hannah tosses her covers aside and then walks to her bedroom door and shuts it. She turns around and faces me, her eyebrows narrowed, the excitement in her expression gone. “You haven’t made me laugh since I got home. Something is changing you, and as your big sister, I want to know what it is. And if you don’t tell me, I’ll call a Wesley family meeting.” The characters ... I love them so much! I could absolutely relate to Paige, having all the stress of not wanting to disappoint your parents and all. Paige is smart, loyal, funny, musically talented, and friendly. She wasn't that snooty rich person that you'd expect. She never treated Ben any different even though he lived on the poor side and she was beyond rich. When she said that she loved playing piano renditions of Imagine Dragons but also loved classical music, I knew I loved her character! I really loved her growth and how she stands up for herself in the end. This book is really short, I read it in one sitting. It was good enough to read straight through, but if it were a little longer, we may have had more time to get to know Paige and Ben, because at times things seemed rushed. That and the way it was written are my only complaints. Its in third person, but something about it really bugged me more than usual, though I can't put my finger on exactly what. Zoey really surprised me, and I want to see more of her. That ending made me hopeful that we’ll get a second book about her. And maybe get a glimpse of Ben and Paige?! Wouldn’t that be great??? Hannah looks up at me like I’ve suggested she murder someone. “Have I ever wanted to play video games with you?”

The cast is really great. The different parents were interesting as well. Highley managed to write them all with little judgment and more importantly showing each friends issues, insecurities and strengths due to their situation. Except I found Paiges mother too over the top. And the issues with her, extreme, but I would have been fine if the resolve would have given us some more insight why she acted that way? It was all over sudden all over.. and done. Everybody is happy the end.

I didn’t think about that. The one time we had sex was honestly the greatest sex I’ve ever had. If she breaks up with me, we won’t get to experience that again. I’ve thought about what it’ll be like so much, in such extensive detail, I’m confident it would be damn near perfect. Now I’m even more bummed by our prospective breakup. Not only will I have to spend my life without Six, I’ll also spend the rest of my life never being interested in sex again, since it won’t be with Six. Sex with Six is the only sex What’s not perfect is Molly’s mother leaving the family to take a faraway job with the promise to return in one year. Molly knows that promises are sometimes broken, so she hatches a plan to bring her mother home: Win the Lakeville Middle School Poetry Slam Contest. The winner is honored at a fancy banquet with white tablecloths. Molly is sure her mother would never miss that. Right…? My bedroom door opens and Chunk leans against the doorframe, arms folded. Why are you on the floor? Zoey was definitely not what I expected. She is very perceptive and she was interesting. I loved her relationship with Paige. I absolutely loved their friendship. I love how supportive they were of each other. Based on the last chapter, it looks like this book will get a sequel featuring Zoey. If/when that happens, I am very much looking forward to it. Also, that story would have gone a complete different way, with a weird love triangle but it didn't, so that fact alone gives the book major brownie points.

I groan and cover my face with both hands as I bury myself deeper into the beanbag. In all honesty, Hannah is the best voice of reason in our whole family. She might even be the only voice of reason. Chunk is too young to understand these issues. My father is too immature, like me. And my mother would flip out if I told her Six and my truth. The story line is a new take on a good oldy. Highley did a great job making it her own. I was totally captured by it. Each little turn and twist had me grinning and gasping. In short Highley had me wrapped around her little finger and I cant wait to read more from her... and more importantly I can't wait to get my hand on Zoe's story I love reading Entangled Crush’s Teen Contemporary romance novels and Finding Perfect is another book that I’ve been looking forward to. Honestly, I liked the book but I can’t say that I love it as much as others did. Finding Perfect is an adorable read and very entertaining but it wasn’t outstanding. My only issue with this book is the storyline which is too predictable and we can easily figure out almost all of the story. However, it was fun to read and I think many people would definitely enjoy reading it. The next time you are in the mood for sweet romance that you can easily devour in one sitting, I suggest you give Finding Perfect a read. Also the way this book ends leads me to believe Zoey is going to get her own shot at love in the next book so I have plenty of cute reading in my future! This book was such a delight! The characters are endearing, the story is engaging…everything about it just worked.Sometimes Hannah gets this look of excitement in her eyes, but it seems to happen at the worst moments. Like right now, as I tell her my relationship may be doomed. She looks at me pointedly. “I have never liked a single girl you’ve dated until Six. Please go fix this.”
